Be cautious with this stuff. It's loaded with alcohol so it evaporates off the hair making dry hair even drier.

I have it here and after continued usage, it actually dried out 's ends pretty badly.

: Almost Cure for Ds Dry hair & great de-tangler!

Someone posted this on another listserv. KathyRHi Everyone!(My daughter) will be 4 in December. Since she has been born she has had EXTREMELY dry hair. To the point everytime she was in her carseat for 30 + minutes she would get a big knot/tangle in the back of her head. I tried everything.Well she has not had one of those since I startd using this product. U can buy it at Walmart for about $4. It is made by "Garnier"... their hair products come in light green bottles. What u want is in a little, squatty pump bottle . It is called "Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine". It is just like oil. Her hair soaks it up & is actually soft the next day! The stuff is amazing!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!Also, her typical 5 yr old sister hates to have her hair combed. This is the best de-tangler on wet hair as well. I have never tried it on dry hair. It also works great for my son who is on swim team.I have

told friends whose children have really curly hair & it has worked for them too.Just thought I would pass this along since this tends to be a problem for our kids.Hope all is well.__________________________________________________

I just have to comment. I've been using this (the oil, I bought the leave in

conditioner first and it didn't do any good) and it's made all the

difference. She used to start crying everytime I picked up the hair brush,

but now it's almost tangle free.

Thanks to who ever posted this tip!

Since you have tried it. and not real happy with it. Have you found anything else you would recommend ?? Amber has a knot in her hair in the back just about every morning. I use leave in conditioner but it gets her hair wet. Not a good thing in the winter. Unless , you blow it dry all the time. And that is not good either. I do use it on and off, but for everyday tangles, I love plain old 's ( or the store brand ) No More Tangles.

:-)

The fuctis didn't stop her hair from getting tangled during the day. I have noticed that the longer her hair, or more importantly, the rougher her ends get, the more her hair tangles. When it's driving me nuts, it means it's time for a trim :-) That, more then anything, helps with tangles for us.'s hair is really long- it's about to the top of her butt. :-) Deffo time for a trim!! After the holiday rush.....
