Beth,

Thank you for the beautiful note. I'm sure that if you and your husband

continue to treat one another with such respect and caring you'll double and

triple that 21 years! That's what it's all about, right? Yes, my husband has

been doing nearly everything around here since I got home. He even took over

ironing the other day! I'm doing all the things " they " said to do, and will

see my doctor on Monday. I am hoping that he'll be able to diagnose this

terrible rib pain, which isn't touched by my regular pain regimen.

In June, we celebrated 46 years and we aim to keep on going, too! I really

got lucky!

Sincerely,

Carole M.

Carole...WELCOME HOME! Hope you're feeling better. Rest up and listen to your

docs and your hubby...hubbys worry when we get sick and love to baby us!

Sharon...Hope your husband is feeling better and that they find the source of

his problem. It's strange...we Flatbackers are a tough lot! We handle our

surgeries and pain llike troopers! But when our spouses become ill, all bets are

off! My husband works pipeline construction and often strains muscles in his low

back...hazard of the trade. I fall all over myself when he's in pain...haul out

the heating pad, grab the IcyHot, load him up on anti-inflammatories, etc. It

never fails that when I'm in my caretaker role, he'll say " I don't know how you

live with your pain every day! This is nothing compared to what you live with

and it still sucks! " We do so well coping with our own pain...in my case, I

think I panic when he's hurt because I honestly don't know what I'd do without

him! It will be 21 years married for us this coming September and he still takes

my breath away. He's taken such wonderful care of me and our son through my

surgeries...we'd be lost without him!

Hope EVERYONE feels better real soon!

All the best,

Beth

Thank you, Beth.

Yes, he's all better, thank Heaven. I don't know what I would have done if it

had turned out to be something chronic. He sure wears me out when he's sick!

Gotta start training him to take care of me!
