Guest guest
, Can someone send a tape of the show to the states so we can pass it along? The show sounds like it was great. Guest guest
Hi All, I am catching up on all of the messages for the past three weeks...lots happening--So sorry to hear about Sloan's hospital stay, --what a thing to have to go through for that precious little girl... and you, too! Hope all is better, now! It's great to be able to say I know someone famous, Carolyn and I am excited to spend some time on your new website, soon. Glad to hear about 's tube being removed and hope all your travels go well, Kay...We've just returned from 15 days of travel, ourselves...everything went well for which I am thankful for. We learned that Sara is a great little river rafter and camper--We could not have taken her too much sooner than this, but she matured so much in preschool this year--it really helped. It was very important that she listen to our commands, as you can well imagine and she did great. The only thing that was hard for her, with her love of swimming, was when we were on the river in the raft, she could not understand why she couldn't go swimming in that great big swimming pool! I had lots of support, as there were four families together, so someone was watching Sara every second. I must say it is so nice to be home, to have our clothes in drawers and to feel that Sara is safe on our home turf. Just before we left on vacation, she was in a ballet recital--we were very proud of her. The day before the recital, my Mom, was asking her to show her a little of what she would be doing...all Sara did was turn summersalts (sp). My Mom told me later she was so afraid that is what she would do the night of the recital, but she did all the moves very well and she was a little star. I will post a photo of her in her little mermaid ballet outfit, soon... Gail, regarding potty-training--Sara still is not potty-trained at 5-l/2--I am clueless as to what to do, except be patient and as says, when she is very ready, it will happen quickly, as it did with my two boys. Tara may be a little girl who trains early--I have heard of it happening with children who have DS. Pam, sorry to hear about Hannah's strep--hope she is better, too. I swear there is a " momma-thing " with children--I've learned that Sara will often let anyone, but me, give her her medicine, comb her hair, brush her teeth, take a sliver out of her foot, etc...I'm learning, by trial, ways to take the power out of the struggle; it's a challenge to stay on top of that with just Sara, so I can imagine how exhausted you must get with both and Hannah testing you. Take care everyone! Marcia Mom to Sara (DS) and 5 and Lucas
Guest guest
Hi Marcia Welcome back from your trip! Sounds like you all had a fabulous time and the Sara was a little star!!! Can't say my girls would be as well behaved in a raft! Or listen to commands for that matter!! Well done. Glad the recital went well....looking forward to seeing a photo of Sara in her outfit. used to get stage fright in preschool recitals - hard to believe it now though. Somewhere down the track she turned into a stage junkie!! LOL. Guest guest
... There were two surgeries, both were first time scoliosis surgeries (one with growth rods and one with standard universal system rods). -- > > > > Do you know if the surgery on Discovery was for flat back? > >
