This note is especially for Llweyn and --

Your two posts were just so beautiful that I thought I should tell you how

they were received by me. Llweyn, you have always blown me away! Your

thoughtfulness is definitely way above the norm! And I believe that you

express it

extremely welll -- always! Your jokes are funny, too, by the way!

And , I know that you exemplify all of our sensitivities -- to the

point that " Poetry Person " fits you to a tee! You certainly have not

disappointed me with anything that you have said!

I agree with both of you that most (if not all) of the people in this group

try very hard not to hurt anyone else. We all are in some kind of pain. The

word speaks for itself, doesn't it? Does it matter whether it is physical,

psychological or whatever? Pain is pain. As much as we all are alike, we

are that much different, as well. Even the awful person who tried to hurt

Simone may be in some sort of pain, right?

So, we just continue the group as before. We are gathered to share pain,

mostly back pain, and beyond that we don't ask much more of people. Let's just

keep it that way. We are " coming out " with our pain, and that has taken

much of our strength, right?

Love,

Carole M. ( the elder)

I pray that I have hurt no one with this post.

Carole,

Thanks for another beautiful letter. (I hope you got my private

email. I was outraged by your experience with the " hospitalist " and

wrote to express my complete support for you with respect to this

ghastly experience.)

Unfortunately, I have somehow lost track of what we are all talking

about here. I do try to remind folks from time to time that we need

to avoid causing each other pain, albeit usually inadvertently. I

guess my main concern was that I have seen some fantastic

contributors to other groups get fed up and leave because of

thoughtless homophobic or other hurtful comments. I wanted to make

sure that any gay or lesbian group members understood that they had

my support and concern with respect to an unfortunate comment that

appeared in one post.

I now infer from your letter that Simone has also had some kind of

very hurtful experience with someone. Clearly I need to catch up

with the mail at this group since I had enormous connection problems

and was off line for so long. I will try to figure out what is going

on at this point!

Thanks for your patience with a returning moderator (who still can

not sign into the group using her current email address! -- since we

had to reformat my hard drive because of some problems apparently

caused by spyware, I am tearing my hair out daily over and its

idiosyncrasies . . . but that is another story . . . and have you

heard the one about how I can not get Vioxx until I prove to Aetna

HMO that I have once more taken two useless NSAIDs for two weeks

each, this time paying copays for the two meds as Rx's despite their

being available cheaper over the counter, and how nothing is helping

my pain right now, and how my doc responded to this by telling

me . . . . o.k., enuff, enuff, must reign myself in. Just hope the

pain management consult I have scheduled for later this month leads

to more clueful treatment; I am rapidly turning into a bear on

wheels.) (And to anyone who is fed up with pornographic spam, that

is " bear, " folks, not " bare " . . . " ) (Yuck, yuck)

Thanks so much, Lori. I needed a kind word or two.

Best,

E.
