Guest guest
Do you know the type of artificial disc that was used? Are you fused above the level of the of the artificial disc? I assume you are in the uk and am interested in your experience. We seem to be a bit behind you in this area. > > From: " bogratunited " <andyandclaire@...> > Date: 2004/05/07 Fri AM 06:04:07 EDT > > Subject: Re: Discograms... > > Hi, > > I had a discogram in January this year and have very recently had an > artificial disc replacement at L4/L5 level and am doing ok. Guest guest
YOWZA! We are way behind on that whole artificial disc surgery deal. I'm worried the discogram will not recreate the pain. Man oh man...it's like fingernails on the chalkboard whenever I think about getting a discogram. xoxo's My fusion is/was T2-L4. But somehow the x-rays show my fusion at L-3. I don't understand that one. Original surgery was a solid take.
Guest guest
What a pleasure to meet an artificial disc recipient!!! I have great hopes for this technology, as I have no desire to be fused to the sacrum. Please keep us all updated on how the disc works out for you. This is very interesting to many of us, I'm sure! Sharon in Southern New Hampshire Congenital scoliosis w/ spina bifida and other vertebral anomalies 1971 Harrington rod fusion, T5-L4, flatback, L5-S1 degeneration, etc. Re: Discograms... Hi, I had a discogram in January this year and have very recently had an artificial disc replacement at L4/L5 level and am doing ok. Luckily the discogram reproduced my pain!!! Also, I had spinal fusion with Harrington Rod T3-L2 at age 11 in 1984 before menstruation but my scoliosis was noticed at about age 6/7. > OK...Rand wants me to have a discogram.
