Guest guest
That is a tough question because everybody reacts differently to different pain killers. Some folks in this forum are allergic to Tylenol some are not. I for one can take Tylenol but not aspirin or Advil. If I need an anti-inflammatory I can take Bextra or Celebrex. I don't have as severe of reactions as other folks either mine are more like allergy attacks sneezing and wheezing and itching. It really is up to your system if Tylenol bothers you don't take it. I have not heard of traces of aspirin in Tylenol. That does not mean its not true. Read up on it and see what you find out. Marcus
Guest guest
Hi , I don't believe tylenol has asa in it but some of us with Samters are allergic to both. I know there's articles somewhere in the posts on this. I'm allergic to all over the counter pain meds and take demerol (narcotic) sparingly for pain. Most of the time I just suffer with the headaches and feel terribly jealous of people who can just pop an aspirin or tylenol. I'm still considering getting desensitised so I get take over the counter stuff because even flu meds or alot of sinus meds contain asa. Happy New Year All!!! Tami Aspirin and tylenol Hi! I have been told that tylenol has some traces of aspirin in it. Does anyone have any information on this or know if it is true? What over the counter pain relief medicine can a person take who is highly allergic to aspirin? Thanks Reesehospitalave@...
Guest guest
Tylenol = Acetaminophen. It does not have ASA in it, but as Tami says, it does seem to affect some Samterites. Here's one posting with some links on the issue -- I'm sure there are others in the list that you get when you search on " tylenol " . samters/message/1258 regards, Ken West > From: Tami Klumpyan <tami@...> > Reply-samters > Date: Sun, 4 Jan 2004 10:08:25 -0600 > <samters > > Subject: Re: Aspirin and tylenol > > Hi , > I don't believe tylenol has asa in it but some of us with Samters are allergic > to both.
