Guest guest
I use those ear plugs every flight, no matter how short the flight. They work wonders. You can actually take them out once you are at the highest altitude and put them back in about 30 minutes before landing, but if you might forget, better to just keep them in. About the fluid in the sinuses, that is very interesting. A friend of mine who is always very empathetic and sensitive but does not have these health problems heard me on the phone a few months ago and I was all stuffy. She said make sure you drink a lot of water, to replace what your sinuses are taking up. And I thought, gee, you know, she is right. It is kind of a simple thing but I actually think it really DOES help. So now whenever I am having an especially bad sinus day I drink a lot more water and it does seem to help. So sometimes simple things can help as well. Also it tends to keep me away from other liquids which might be more dehydrating or not so good for me.
