Guest guest
Re the worse off thread... I've been taking drugs for asthma and sinus for 25 years and the dosages keep creeping up to be effective. I'm on several drugs now. A few weeks ago I tried coming off my pulmicort puffer hoping the singulair and oxis (eformetrol fumerate dihydrate) would be sufficient. Four weeks later and it's like my lungs are closing up - I can't get enough air in to walk to the car without ventolin. All this with minimum wheezing and no coughing. I had hoped life would be different after my fourth op and second go at desens but it ain't. One day I'd like to be drug and symptom free. I'm seeing the disease less and less as a allergen and irritant reaction and more as a systemic disease - I'm not sensitive to stuff, it's just that my body/immune systmem doesn't work properly. Calling it a disease makes me feel less like a hypochondriac and a freak. Too many people pop drugs into their systems to control symptoms and totally ignore the underlying cause. No one can tell me exactly what is going wrong with my body and how. That sucks. Anyone trying to reduce their drugs by using other methods to relieve symtoms (without living in a bubble!) and having any luck? I'm still working on staying away from grains (except rice) in my diet and overall I'm feeling better healthwise, just not asthmawise. all the best, Beverley Author of " The Chimaera Conspiracy " , new Australian YA sci-fi mystery http://chimaera.topcities.com Homeschool Australia! http://members.ozemail.com.au/~beverleypaine/homeschool Editor of new children's ezine: Unschool~Kidz! http://members.ozemail.com.au/~beverleypaine/Unschool~Kidz/index.html
