Has anyone done this and had success with the polyps not returning? I

am scheduled to do this treatment in SAN at the end of Aug. I have

already had 2 previous sinus surgeries. I can't smell or taste and

now my right ear is completely blocked. Believe it or not, the asthma

has never been a problem for me.

My allergist just started me on Zyflo, which I am not looking forward to.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I am 35 year old female, former flight

attendant. Couldn't continue my career because of all the sinus problems.

I look forward to hearing from others.

Jacqui-

I am in a similar situation...asthma isn't really a problem for me. I do take my Flovent daily but only use my albuteral inhaler when I get a cold and before I excercise. Polyps/sinusitis are my major problems, I can't smell either. I have had 3 sinus surgeries. My last one was about 3 yrs ago...since then I have had my ENT give my polyps a "haircut" in the office using novacaine, just to avoid "going under" and all that involves. My life is just too busy for that. That gets my by...but I know soon I have will to have a regular surgery so that she can get back in the sinuses better & clean out all that gunk.

My ears get clogged up a lot - drives me nuts. That is one of my biggest complaints. I have had tubes put in both of my ears so they can drain. Whenever I feel one filling up I use ear drops to loosen it up and drain better - that helps a lot. Drinking a lot of water also seems to help (which is hard for me!).

My ENT recommended Zyflo for me too, but I have decided against it for know - don't feel like I am sick enough, yet.

I'm a curious to see what aspirin desentiziation does for you...most people seem to get best results in terms of their asthma. I've considered it too, but we recently changed Health Insurance providers so I would have to get a referral, etc. and I haven't doen that yet.

Keep us posted.

Hey, thanks for your reply. I am waiting to hear from Dr. Simon, the

only doc that does the asprin therapy in the US. I have heard he

basically has a patton on the treatment. I, too, am going to be

changing health insurance shortly, so I want to get this treatment

done soon.

I will keep everyone posted.

What I understand about aspirin desensitization is that it can help sinus problems as well as asthma....
