[OT] Energy medicine

Sena, As something of an expert at world religions, (I've studied every major branch over the last 45 years or so, including wicca) I have to tell you that to most serious students of religion (especially of a spiritual nature) wicca is little more than very basic pagan rituals and chanting, even though it has some value in that it helps polarize the mind and/or body into some kind of action, if only at the immediate moment. There are lessons to be learned from this, and perhaps meditation is at the peak of these.

We are hoping that you will continue to search on your journey for the truth and love that is true religion, and that you will reach full circle and return fully justified to God the Father and Creator of us all. Don't be led or influenced by any group or clique, but rather go your solo journey and seek Him wherever love is in its truest form. You will know love and it will know you, and through this you will find God!

Eat; I've been watching this cross-commentary between you, Soni, my dad

(Gregary), and others and quite frankly it's getting beyond the bounds of

being helpful and loving and more toward starting a battle. I don't know

the rest of you but I know my father and his character and credentials are

of the absolute highest standard - - - he wouldn't intentionally hurt or

mislead anyone for any reason. He deals with students every day as a

professor of religion and is one of the most intense and gentle persons I

have ever known. As to the study of the feminine in religion (the spiritual

aspect, most embodied by Jesus himself - - - the Living Word), you may want

to research the Great Sophia in all ancient Christian and Jewish scriptures;

you may be surprised at what you find. My dad wrote a long treatise on this

in a book he wrote on spiritualism many years ago; you might want to search

this out in your local library system (look under " Gregary Cody " ). Anyway,

I wish you truth and love in all your searches, and a new and full education

in the " spirit " (God's Holy Spirit, the true teacher He sent for all of us).

Let us not make war, but rather love and help each other.

If energy medicine is not the power that comes only from the Holy Spirit,

then it is witchcraft. We will do the same things as Christ did, IN HIS

NAME. Not in the name of energy or some other name. Your source of energy

is the question that needs to be answered. Magnetic energy is God created

energy and can be used as all of God's created natural laws. But they are

not to be worshipped or seen as the source of healing. God clearly says to

Let's see if we can straighten this out.

Energy medicine was attacked at witchcraft. You say?

I replied that witchcraft, perhaps to be more correct, sorcery was the practice of alchemy (read: drugs and other hideous "medical" practices).

So, it remains that witches do practice "energy medicine", but it doesn't logically follow that all who practice "energy medicine" or "energetic medicine" are witches.

Does anyone else get the same feeling that I do, that this world is becoming a very complicated place?

So, dear witch, what I say is still true. There is wicca, you say, and that you are tame, but there are other witches out there, not so tame. Unfortunately, you witches will continue to get lumped together on occation, due to public ignorance, etc.

Let me share a true story.

A dear friend whose son is attending his last year at Bastyr College in Washington to become a naturopathic doctor, completed some training with a major hospital in Seattle. When he originally checked in, he was sent to a darkened auditorium, to meet with the oncology department members and other upper level medical doctors of the hospital. At the appointed time, on a weekly basis, he was to report to this "area" to play "DOOM" a role-playing game, that I consider demonic. Doom is a game that the Columbine highschool shooters were involved with. After talking with his father, the advice his father gave him was that he shouldn't jepordize his last year of school over something as silly as a roleplaying game.

Pray tell, is this acceptable witchcraft? Grown up oncologist roleplaying as..... warlocks and ????

I think I've told this story before on this list.

So then, I guess according to you we're all just wasting our time on this

list. Since most of those posting here profess to be God-loving, (some

obsessively so), but are still facing tremendous physical challenges and very

difficult lives, it seems that the relationship with God is not a reciprocal

one! Since you feel that both traditional medicine (chemo), and alternative

medicine (energy and others) are sorcery, that doesn't leave much to fall

back on when prayers and supplications have failed, does it?

You say something to the effect of " What have the Hindu Gods done for the

people of India? " -- well, what has your God done for the people on this

list? Not much, but crumbs, from what I read! We're ALL still searching, if

anyone had a REALLY conclusive answer, whether diet, poisons, hocus-pocus,

radionics, prayer, clean living, or whatever, we would ALL KNOW IT. All of

these things can help, but they are not THE answer, and however much much you

may promote the delights of Heaven, most of the folks on this list seem

pretty desperate to stay right here on earth for a while longer.

At any rate, I feel that God gave us minds to use, and if that leads us to

" man-made " cures, so be it. I can't believe that God would look favorably

upon one who rejects one of His greatest gifts of all, use of the human mind.

Actually, if we ALL thought your way, we, here, would be in a state much

closer to that of India (to which I have been for several long visits), and

for a very much worse reason -- the deliberate rejection of progress -- as

opposed to primitive conditions inflicted by economic hardships.

God helps those who help themselves. Long live diversity!

FINDING THE LORD

A drunk stumbles along and comes to a Baptismal service on a Sunday

afternoon down by the river. He proceeds to stumble down

into the water and stands next to the Minister. The Minister

turns, notices the old drunk and says, " Mister, are you ready

to find Jesus? "

The drunk looks back and says, " Yes sir, I am. "

The Minister then dunks the fellow under the water and pulls

him right back up.

" Have you found Jesus? " the Minister asked.

" No, I didn't! " said the drunk.

The Minister then dunks him under for a quite a bit longer,

brings him up and says, " Now brother, have you found Jesus? "

" No, I did not! " said the drunk again.

Disgusted, the Minister holds the man under for at least 30

seconds this time, brings him up and demands, " For the grace

of God, have you found Jesus yet?!!!?? "

The old drunk wipes his eyes and pleads, " Are you sure this

is where he fell in? "

Dear ,

As a witch, I take great offence at your comments. Witches do not practice drugs, chemo, etc. They are people of the earth, who use natural methods. This is one of the reasons they were burned at the stake---by the barbers and butches who hated the healing they provided (among other reasons).

Wicca is a religion---my religion. You have no right to associate it with modern medical butchers. They are not related.

I prefer to think of drug therapies and the like as nazism. Science with no thought of people. Science which mangles and mutilates for the sake of research.

Rosy: This story reminds me of the circuit

preacher on his semi-annual baptismal visits

in the hills of W.Virginia. He comes to a

shack where little rastus is to be baptised but

his mother was down by the river getting some

water while leaving the baby with his sister.

The preacher, being in a hurry, asked the girl

if there was other water around. She said only

what was in the pail by the bed. So the preacher used it just as the

mother came back.

When she found out what happened she

blurted out " You done made my Rastus

a Pisscapalean " .
