Guest guest
Hi everyone, how do you think I should ask the endo about a T3/T4 combination trial? So many times I have been told everything is fine (you might remember a response from a GP re the terrible gain of weight ... " I am afraid this is the situation of a great percentage of people in UK " or " I also put weight on compared to when I was 30 " ...Well, actually I am 30 right now, and I don't think I or anyone else should feel like this. ) Since taking levothyroxine my brain started to work same as before, which is probably the most important thing for me. My energy levels increased at evenings, however some days I wake up like all puffed and tired, even though I haven't slept in any different way. This is where I don't know why it happens, why should I wake up and all of a sudden after one hour feel very unwell and dizzy. I think it could be related to my weight (86kg now..as mentioned before this is more then 20kg on top of my average weight, and I have never been skinny ) and also another thing is, while walking, on a few occasions it happened that – again without a reason and suddenly – I was covered in sweat very red patches on the face and bloated (not a pretty sight!)..Could it be just the weight? And also..would this not happen to all overweight people then? I see a lot of overweight people leaving quite a normal life and full of energy. I really want to go back to what I was before but I also want to understand what is happening. I think it could be worth trying a T3/T4 combination therapy..but really don't know if my symptoms are enough or will I be told that is not needed. LAst time I have asked and been told that they give T3 very rarely and that I would benefit from the increase to 100mcg of levo. That happened only partly, and I suppose I would also have to measure T3, before the appointment with the endo on the 16th? I have been told by the GP reception just to ask to the nurse for TFT and she will know, but that didn't include T3 last time..Any ideas? Thanks, Talita.
