Guest guest
I did the adrennal and candida questionaires and my husbane scored very high on both his body temps are rarely over 36 and he is feeling terrible most of the day I have just taken ccompassionate leave from my job as a teacher to try to put a stop to this miserable time for us yesterday he took the 75mcg thyroxine recommended by GP based on his FT4 =22 and TSH= 4.1......he was on 125mcg prior to this around 2pm he began to feel terrible...temp was 34.7 but his pulse was over 100bpm A little later he was sick could this be something to do with adrenal function? the feeling passed after a while but left him very worried Why is his heart racing when he can't be becoming hyperthyroid on this low dose? I ordered Armour from Value Pharmaceuticals on tuesday, will it take long to arrive? Apart from the B12 2x 500ug a day what else could he begin today to get prpared for the Armour? I am thinking of some things for candida but don't know what to try to help the adrennal issue > > > Hi Ruth, > Have you seen the Adrenal pages in the FILES? there is a questionnaire which would be helpful . Then follow the advice in the files 'How to take Armour'. You can't convert directly when the person can't use the T4 to convert To T3- you have to do trial and error. Most folk end up with about 3 grains daily. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
yesterday he took the 75mcg thyroxine recommended by GP based on his FT4 =22 and TSH= 4.1......he was on 125mcg prior to this around 2pm he began to feel terrible...temp was 34.7 but his pulse was over 100bpm A little later he was sick could this be something to do with adrenal function? Yes, it could. I would get his cortisol and DHEA levels tested as a matter of urgency by telephoning Genova and asking them to send out the saliva kit as a matter of urgency. The results should be back with you in a week to 10 days. You could also phone his GP and ask for him to be referred for a short synacthen test to see whether he is actually suffering with 's disease, which is a possibility. I believe that medication from www.valuepharmaceuticals.com arrives in about 10 days. He needs to buy some Nutri Adrenal Extra and get the large bottle. Look in our FILES section of thyroid treatment and go to the folder entitled DISCOUNTS. They have given TPA members a discount of 33%. Telephone them and they will send them out immediately. Start by him taking one with breakfast for a week and then increasing by taking another one with his lunch. Never take them after 1.00p.m. because the extra adrenaline might keep him awake at night. After a couple of weeks, he can add another tablet with breakfast and keep increasing in this way until he starts to feel better. These tablets have all the minerals/vitamins in to help boost his adrenals. Depending on the results of his 24 hour salivary test, he may need to start a course of Hydrocortisone if he has adrenal insufficiency. Again, for further information on adrenals and candida, look in the appropriate folder you will find in the FILES section.
