Guest guest
I have always had low BP and have been on iodine for a year maybe more and it hasn't changed but with that said we are all different. from IllinoisFrom: Anne Seals <anneseals@...>iodine Sent: Wed, September 22, 2010 3:48:27 PMSubject: heart/blood pressure question My husband has recently developed a slow, weird, irregular heartbeat & very low blood pressure. This is totally out of the blue, & has us both a little freaked. (His blood pressure got so low at one visit that they couldn't MEASURE it.) I have had him on iodine for several months now, so I doubt this has anything to do with iodine. However, he is going to have to go in for evaluation, & they are almost certainly going to ask what he is taking -- & then flip out about the iodine. I think I will cut him back to a low maintenance dose, both to see if it has any effect, & so I can quote a low number when they ask me. I don't trust doctors for s---, but this does sound like a potentially serious issue Question: Could iodine be implicated in changes in heart rhythm & blood pressure? Does anybody have an references for me? Anne
Guest guest
low blood pressure is related often to adrenal fatigue. Guest guest
I don't have references for you, but my experience over four years is that everytime I detox or take or do something which promotes a detox my blood pressure drops like a stone and my heart gets irregular. My heart is very irregular right now with the parasite cleanses I am taking, so much so that I know I must pull back from all the things I'm doing and focus again on just a lowish dose of the parasite cleanse. I understand that the ammonia from the dead parasites can contribute to the heart irregularity and certainly my adrenals have taken a hit, as measured by the blood pressure test. > > > > > > > I have always had low BP and have been on iodine for a year maybe more and > > it hasn't changed but with that said we are all different. > > > > from Illinois > > > > > > ------------------------------ > > *From:* Anne Seals <anneseals@...> > > *To:* iodine > > *Sent:* Wed, September 22, 2010 3:48:27 PM > > *Subject:* heart/blood pressure question > > > > > > > > My husband has recently developed a slow, weird, irregular heartbeat > > & very low blood pressure. Guest guest
I wanted to add that I think in the case of someone with low blood pressure and/or adrenal fatigue it's usually a good idea to start low with supplements and titrate upwards or the adrenal fatigue can make the effort counterproductive. > > > > > > > > > > > I have always had low BP and have been on iodine for a year maybe more and > > > it hasn't changed but with that said we are all different. > > > > > > from Illinois > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------ > > > *From:* Anne Seals <anneseals@> > > > *To:* iodine > > > *Sent:* Wed, September 22, 2010 3:48:27 PM > > > *Subject:* heart/blood pressure question > > > > > > > > > > > > My husband has recently developed a slow, weird, irregular heartbeat > > > & very low blood pressure. Guest guest
this sounds adrenal to me. Guest guest
Correct, Because the adrenal gland puts out aldosterone, the hormone responsible for sodium, potassium and water retention which increases blood volume and therefore pressure. Look up Hypoaldosteronism (low renin) and s (low aldosterone and /or cortisol) and hypoadrenalism. Another reason that contributes to heart palpitation issues is low magnesium. Wrongdiagnosis.com lists many reasons for low blood pressure. You can follow all the links to narrow down what may or may not be the culprit based on all of his overall symptoms. Guest guest
What is in your parasite cleanse?
Guest guest
I'm doing two: maintenance cleanse is wormwood, cloves and black walnut tincture. 'Mop up' cleanse is ozonated olive oil plus l-cysteine. I was also using a zapper and I'd upped my iodine dosage rapidly. I pulled back yesterday and my adrenals are ok again and my heart calming down. > > What is in your parasite cleanse? >
Guest guest
Anne, is he on a magnesium supplement? Most people don't get nearly enough from their diets. And irregular heartbeat has been corrected through magnesium intake, when there was deficiency. Guest guest
Anne, Here's a link you might check out re: iodine and the heart: http://naturalallopathiccardiology.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content & view=article & id=121 it does reference iodine lowering b/p, but also states it stabilizes heart rhythm. So, not sure if this helps, but gives you another reference point to consider. Also, if he's on ATD (Anti-thryoid Drugs) and taking Iodine, that combo could lower b/p also. You can find that reference at Web MD. Guest guest
oh, It would be interesting to find out if any of those substances can drop blood pressure. I know there are herbs that can.
Guest guest
I just read in Elaine 's book "Graves' Disease" a practical guide, that "Reishi Mushroom Extract" can lower blood pressure.
