Guest guest
Thanks Beverly...The milk thistle I have has dandelion in it, which is what Steph recommended. I really hope it helps my detox and helps to stop and reverse the weight gain I've incurred relating to iodine. Sherry > > Sherry, the liver helps detox and milk thistle is good for the liver. Guest guest
How much do you take. I take 15 drops - 3x / day of dandelion root. Make sure you are drinking enough water too. Guest guest
I have a milk thistle supplement that includes a blend of dandelion root, fennel seed and licorice root. It doesn't specify how much dandelion is in the blend though. I drink about a half gallon of water a day. Is that good? Guest guest
Well, off the top of my head, I've tried milk thistle for the last 6 months or so, and I started NAC about 2 months ago. I also did a whole body cleanse about a month ago. > > > So I stopped taking Lugol's about 2 weeks ago because my hair was falling out pretty badly, and I thought it might be detox issue relating to the iodine. > > > > I was hoping that the weight I gained, which I'm certain was directly related to iodine, might start to come off. Guest guest
I'm actually still taking it. It's actually a combination of milk thistle, dandelion, fennel and licorice. The milk thistle content is 960 mg per day. I'm taking it according to the bottle's instructions. Is that enough? Sherry > > > > > > > So I stopped taking Lugol's about 2 weeks ago because my hair was falling out pretty badly, and I thought it might be detox issue relating to the iodine. > > > > > > > > I was hoping that the weight I gained, which I'm certain was directly related to iodine, might start to come off. Guest guest
Well, the hair loss greatly improved (quickly) once I started weaning off of Armour...I think that was the culprit for the hair loss, due to the stress on my adrenals. I quit caffeine and used hydrocortisone for about 6 months until a few months ago. I thought I was doing alright, but I've had a lot of stress lately, and I guess the Armour was just too much. I'm not doing anything specifically for my adrenals right now (other than sea salt and vitamin C). Now I'm just disturbed about the weight gain that isn't budging even with the removal of iodine. Guest guest
Hello Anne, I hear you...I did the original clinical trials for low carb, high oil, higher protein diets for both animals and humans from back in the 1970's, and own the US Patent for all those diets claiming such, including Adkins. I can tell you that the liver is key here...if iodine mobilizes toxins from body fat and other storage depots of the body, it all dumps into the liver for elimination. You need to keep cleansing the liver as the liver filters the blood from compromised and toxic tissues. And the best ways I have found are grapefruit juice/epsom salts/canola or olive oil purges every week to 10 days, along with daily coffee enemas, which each acts differently on the liver. If you are interested int he rest of my protocol, send me a request privately and I will send it. There is also lots of great info you will never find in textbooks on thyroid, autoimmune syndromes etc on my web site in the articles section. To your good health! It gets harder and harder to lose weight. And, according to the blood tests, my thyroid is " within range. " My Reverse T3 is high, but, again, it is " within range. " I finally decided to go to a doctor who treats the thyroid based on symptoms rather than blood tests. I am hoping this approach with work. Guest guest
, Fat “not agreeing with you” can be several things. 1. Toxic liver. If you have gallbladder/liver pain after eating, you probably need some serious cleansing. 2. Not digesting it, as in seeing cloudy strands in the toilet when you move your bowels. I had this problem, and even with eating plenty of fats and protein, I was anemic. The problem was I was not digesting it. Taking a good digestive enzyme everytime you eat will take care of that problem. I also found that once I started taking digestive enzymes, my loose bowel movements virtually disappeared! Just couldn’t digest the food. Donna in IL Linsey , what if fat doesn't agree with you? > > > Count me in as somebody with severe weight issues. Guest guest
Hello , There is a kind of oil that you should be able to take or a mixture of oils...intolerance of oils are a classic sign of gall stones and bile duct blockage and liver stagnation. If you need help clearing, you can fill out the case history from my web site and I will call you for a chat. To your good health!
