Dark skin around eyes

I hope this is not considered to be off topic. I have some dark skin areas both

under and up along along the nose side of both eyes. The problem was noticed

well before I began taking Iodoral. Could this darkened skin be a symptom of

hypothyroidism, or is it more likely to be an indicator of some other underlying

problem or deficiency?

It might indicate adrenal issues.

It seems that several of my symptoms could point to under-performing adrenals.

Does Iodine help here as well, or do I perhaps need to consider something else?

Hi,

I'm no expert as I'm relatively new to this, but also have hypothyroid and

hypoadrenal. I started with Lugol's plus the supplements before I discovered

that some consider it best to start restoring the adrenals for a few weeks

before moving on to the thyroid treatment.

But I didn't because I didn't know and am now treating both simultaneously and

feel better than I have for a long time.

Whichever way, it is important to take the companion supplements with iodine.

What are you doing with respect to your adrenal issues?

Thank you ! I'm seeing a doctor on January 8th, and I will try to

remember this so I can mention it to him.

Is your water fluoridated, toothpaste, fluoride in drugs etc...

It can be a sign of fluorides, and fluoride collects in and affects the pineal gland.

For water we have a well which we use only to shower, flush the toilets, and

wash clothes (we drink only bottled RO water), and we use unfluorinated

toothpaste, so there are no fluorides to contend with in our house. However,

years ago I used to work as a chemical lab analyst for a major Hydrofluoric Acid

producer, and I was severely burned by anhydrous HF on my left arm, so I'm

probably loaded with it beyond what any of you could imagine. HF soaks down

into and attacks the calcium directly in the bones. My left arm is always in

pain, and the bones in my left arm are probably a major storehouse for loads of

calcium fluoride. Add to that 31 years of working in chemical factories, and

I've been exposed to just about everything that you wouldn't want to be exposed

to in my day.

I'd recommend mg oil on the arm, and definitely iodine protocol.

How much iodine you taking/for how long?

Iodine detoxes fluoride as you likely know

Bruce, I've only been on Iodoral for a bit more than a week. So far I'm only

taking 6.25 mg (I'm splitting them in half) to gauge for any potential

undesirable reactions or side effects. I just recently (within the past month

or so) came across many articles, audios, and videos from Dr's Brownstein,

Abraham, and Flechas while researching into my various assumed to be hypothyroid

related symptoms. I was so taken by their work that I started taking the

Iodoral on my own. I've learned a bunch about the rest of the protocol right

here on this excellent forum. The only positive effect I've noticed so far is

that my basal temp is up about 0.7 to 0.9 degrees for the past two mornings vs.

what it was before I started on the Iodoral. The negative effect is that I

haven't been sleeping as well since I started taking it, but then I'm still in

the " worry mode " over taking something as radical as 6.25 mg of Iodine a day. I

know that probably sounds downright silly to those taking 50 mg to 100 mg daily.

Not silly at all, it was 3 months from the time I discovered Dr Brownstein's video on youtube and beginning to investigate; to starting at 150mcg/day.

Then to 300mcg etc, then 6mg after a while, then up...caution is always ok.

Glad to hear positive effects already.

Taking selenium?

Dark circles under the eyes is most likely liver, kidney, allergies, chronic

stuffy nose or lack of sleep.

If around the eyes, it could be SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) - from there

the name " lupus " which means " wolf " in Latin.

For a lot of us, dark rings under/around the eyes is dairy. Remove the milk, the circles go away. Dairy and other allergies are often the cause. That's why they are called 'allergy shiners'. day starting yesterday.
