Guest guest
Hello, I can hardly believe this, but I just scratched, peeled off half of a very dried out age spot on my hand. I've been diligently applying Iodine Tincture (2%), and the past few nights didn't because it is so so drying to the skin. I've been doing it for several weeks, almost faithfully, and at first, the iodine would absorb, but recently have had to use absorbic acid powder to remove the stains in the morning to go out in public without iodine stains on my hands. Anyway, I'm so excited...I peeled off half of a spot on my hand and underneath is just normal colored white skin (I'm white). What a wonderful discovery. I'd backed off some because of the drying effect, and noticed lately, the spots are dryer than the surrounding skin. Now, I don't care about the dryness, as I know I'll be able to peel/scratch off the dried age/sun spot. If the sun/age spots are really fungus, perhaps the diligent applications of iodine tincture, only available in 2%, still does the trick? Not quite sure what to make of it, but sure am glad to find something that works with such unsightly brown stains as sun/age spots. I figure even if the skin gets real dried out from the iodine, it's worth it to get rid of the age/sun spots. Vj
