Hiya,

I was holding on 2 grains under Dr Ps advice while being on 20mg hc

for a while because I got quite ill about 10 days ago on 2 1/4 grains

on 15mg.

unfortunately I now finished all my lower grain tabs and have only 1

1/2 grain pills left which I opened last night. The nearest I can work

out is 2 1/4 grains at 1 1/2 tabs. Hoping that the time I have been on

20mg hc will hold me ok.

Do you think I should raise to 25mg hc whilst my body gets used to

this dose of Armour? My temps are not THAT irratic, but still are a

tad, ie not exactly stable.

I also got some advice about my olmatec (bp pills) from Adrenal Help

and that was a tad worrying so I might have problem again with the

raise because of that. Here is a section of her research which was

quite revealing, anyone else on Olmasarten Olmatec might find this useful

While on this medication it is important not to take any supplements

containing Potassium unless advised by your doctor.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olmesartan

By blocking binding rather than synthesis of angiotensin II,

olmesartan inhibits the negative regulatory feedback on renin

secretion. As a result of this blockage, olmesartan restricts

vasoconstriction and the secretion of Aldosterone. This lowers blood

pressure by producing vasodilation, and decreasing peripheral

resistance. Olmesartan also has high affinity for the Vitamin D

Receptor[1] and because of the role of the Vitamin D receptor in

innate immunity[2], olmesartan has immune modulatory

Another angiotensin II receptor antagonist, olmesartan, is an

important part of the Marshall Protocol, invented by American

biomedical researcher Trevor Marshall.

Comments:The affect on Vit D is a concern. In fact apparently your

med is used in the Marshall Protocol which deliberately reduces Vit D

down to deficient levels. When did you last have your Vit D measured?

It is also used for Sarcoidosis & Lyme disease

Abnormal Liver Function is also common on this med. You need regular

testing of Liver Enzymes while on it as well as Kidney Function too

(including Sodium & Potassium).

And you are right it is directly affecting Renin & Aldosterone. It

also apparently raises Potassium levels hence the warning not to take

supps. (may lead to Hyperkalemia).//

Anyone with any advice about the amount I should be taking and if you

an do maths better than me lol, I would be most grateful.

God bless

Dawnx
