diff behaviors and raising him without the aspie dx til his teen yrs, so I always

knew there was something I couldn’t put my finger on, so itll be real

neat to determine whats sensory related! Thanks again,

paula

interpret motivation assessment scale, uploaded into the files section...

Hi a,

The " total score " in each column (under sensory, escape, attention,

tangible) would be added up based on the answers given to the

questions in the questionnaire. The higher the score you get in

each category, the more likely that the behavior you were observing

was motivated by that category most. For example, if your highest

score for the ONE given behavior is 25, then the behavior is sensory

in nature and thus you need to explore what other, more appropriate

sensory experiences you could provide instead of the existing one.

This may take a long time to find, i.e. what works for a certain

individual....

The mean is just an average.

I have not worked for the institution that uses this form, it was

provided to me by my teacher....but perhaps for them the mean and

relative ranking is important?? Not sure.

Hope this helped a little?
