Welcome Sherry!

The angery is welling up in me as I read your post. Not at you but

the lack of knowledge that these doctors continue to portray. They

are messing with your life and they are not doing a good job.

Here are my thoughts.

1. You need iodine w/ or w/o a thyroid. Side bar - I am an almost 9

year thyca survivor who was almost killed by my expert endos who gave

me 3 rounds of RAI and it still didn't fix the problem. I was saved

with Iodine. I'll let you go to my website

www.naturalthyroidchoices.com for my story. Iodine is used by every

gland and mucosal lining. The synthroid you are on is actually

depleting the iodine in your body. That is why you have fibrocystic

breasts. Low iodine levels create this. You will find releif by

supplmenting with iodine. I have the nutrients on my website too

that help your body use it effectively.

2. Dump the endo's. They will never get you well. They are hung up

on T4 and TSH and if they are in the range or in your case TSH is

supressed - which your should be at .1 or below. They send you

packing and tell you that there is nothing more they can do for you.

T4 only meds don't work. For those of us w/o a thyroid we need the

full spectrum of thyroid hormones. The thyroid creates T4, T3, T2,

T1 and Calcitonen. You cannot function without all of these

components. You can get these in desiccated thyroid hormone like

Armour Thyroid. That is what turned my life around.

I think I saw someone post that they could tell you where to get it

on your own. I would caution against this becuase you are a thyca

survivor you really need someone to manage your care becuase with us

thycan's it is so much more than just the thyroid hormones typically.

Where are you located. I may have a reference for a good holistic

doctor to send you to.
