Guest guest
Morning , Poor you, unfortunately, an all too common story! I think moving is exhausting without being unwell too! Many of us have to treat the adrenals in line with the thyroid, something I had to learn. Over the course of time, if the thyroid is not functioning as it should, adrenals carry the can! As Sheila explained it prevents the medication fully working. Of course you may have already done this. You've come to a good place. Most of us arrived here unwell, disatisfied to some extent with treatment or lack of it, (in my own case)and as part of our independent research into getting well. Many knowledgeable folk will help you. All the reading into associated conditions really helped me, as Sheila advised. Also, try Dr P's book. Invaluable in learning about the wider picture. Take care, keep smiling, you will get there, it just takes a bit of time. Enjoy the day, x > Have a look at everything adrenal and candida in the FILES on this forum > website and do both the adrenal and candida questionnaire to see how you > > > > luv - Sheila > > > We then moved house last month and I've dipped considerably - > struggling with the old familiar symptoms of fatigue, spacy head and Thanks, >

When I type in Thyroid in the 'to' box it continues it for me, and often continues in the wrong one. Thank goodnes for the 'reply' button, at least it replies to the right one lol. Guest guest
…but with my new Outlook, whenever I send a message to the forum (or anywhere else for that matter, it goes from one of my other email addresses and not the one I have set as 'Default' which is sheilaturner@... . I have tried everything but still when I start sending messages, back they come as 'undeliverable' because the address is not registered with the forum so I have to re-send them and every time, click 'Account' to make sure it goes from that address, but each time, this one remains ticked as the default. Has anybody an idea why this is happening. It is very frustrating and time-consuming. luv - Sheila >> made the mistake of putting it on our Chat forum which is an easy mistake for newbies to make.<< Not only newcomers - I have caught myself once or twice about to send messages to the wrong group. Guest guest
Hello , thanks for your encouraging words - much appreciated at a time when I so much needed it. As I've written to Sheila, I've long suspected an adrenal problem, but had doubt cast on it by the Doctor I was seeing privately, so now I'm just going to get on and try and sort myself out, with the help and support of this wonderful group. Thanks again, > > Morning , > Poor you, unfortunately, an all too common story! Guest guest
Hi again , Just reading your posts, you are SO MUCH more knowledgeable than I was when I joined tpa. Adrenals I asked? What do they do then? Ha! Seems amazing now, only six months ago. Your research, and Sheila's replies will have informed you by now of the huge controversy in treating thyro/adrenal connection within the system. I even went armed with results to see an Endo, (low cortisol, out of range 3 out of 4 times per day)who would only test me for s, which I didn't have. (i knew that!) Wouldn't have any of it, even though I only have half a thyroid (surgery 20 years ago) and Free T4 right at the bottom of the range. No treatment offered! Grrrr! Sooooooooooooo, it is only through tpa I have got better. But for the lovely supportive friends (who I have never met)who guided me through the process, I would be on long term sick with questionable fatigue of no apparent origin. My experience doesn't match yours, I know, but your story is one that many of the members have experienced, especially around combining adrenal meds with thryo ones. Also, your nursing background will place you well here. Once again, don't worry, this is a good place to be. You already sound like you're half way to solving the equation. Good luck and good health. Love, x > > Hello , thanks for your encouraging words - much appreciated at > a time when I so much needed it. Guest guest
-Hi I can relate to your experience with the endocrinologist - I've had similar - they only seem to do s Disease!! Basically I think they're only interested in diabetes - the fact that the department I went to called itself " Diabetes and Endicrinology " might be a clue! Plus, there's a Government Standard in place for the treatment of diabetic patients - sadly no such thing exists for the thyroid patient. It's really encouraging to hear of success stories - it helps you to keep on plugging away and renews optimism that I will be one myself one day soon. So thank you. x-- In thyroid treatment , " " <marylinda@...> wrote: > > Hi again , > Just reading your posts, you are SO MUCH more knowledgeable than I > was when I joined tpa. Adrenals I asked?
