Guest guest
that is great news. I would put him on 50 - 100 mgs. Maybe start at 50 and work him up. He is truly in crisis given the number of issues that have *popped up* How is his diet? This is key too. He need good whole foods with limited sugars. Also consider removing gluten and possibly dairy as they are implicated in cancers as well. If it were me I would do: Magnesium 400mgs Vit C 3,000 - 5,000 Omega 3 fatty acids Selenium 400 mcg Celtic Salt 1/2 -1 tsp / day B12 B-Complex This should give him a major boost and get him on the road to healing. Steph What to do with my friend after a small success? Dear Steph,Here is a small success that I think everyone on the forum should hear about and I have some questions about the Iodine Protocol and cancer.I have a friend in the village who has cancer. He was a big fairly well covered guy, although quite thin now. He is about 46. A few years ago he had cancer of the colon. This has been treated and seems to be gone (for the moment). Then he got a "spot" on his liver which was treated and seems to have gone (for the moment.) The latest development is a spot on his lung and a "nodule" on/near his sciatic nerve. (I am not sure if this is a cancer of not because he has small kids and we talked in code or used 'roundabout terms to avoid saying the "C" word in front of his kids.)I was a bit concerned about him developing something else as soon as he got rid of a problem. The cancer just seemed to keep moving off somewhere else. So earlier this summer in July I went to see him to talk about the Iodine Protocol. He wasn't too keen on taking Lugol's because his doctors had told him he was allergic to iodine. I suggested that he might like to paint it on his back as near the nodule as possible and gave him a bottle of Lugol's and a paint brush. I thought this was a bit of a long shot, truth be told!He turned up at my house at lunch time today and told me that his nodule seems to have gone and that he wanted to know more about the Iodine Protocol.I am going to see him later on this week to explain to him how it works and where to buy the vitamins and minerals, etc. He doesn't speak English or have a good Internet connection (so my site is not much use!) He wants to follow this treatment because he is fed up with orthodox medicine and this on-going situation. Q1.) In your opinion how much Lugol's should someone in his situation be taking?Q2.) He is still limping like he did when he had the nodule. However, a further scan has shown the absence of a nodule after the confirmed presence. Has anybody reading this experience of nodule/cancers near nerves? Is it possible that there is still something very small or scar tissue causing him to have sciatica? I imagine that it does take much (1mm of swelling or scar tissue) to cause pressure on a nerve.I am very pleased about this. Firstly, because he seems to be getting better. Secondly, because whenever I try to talk about the Iodine Project to people they don't seem too convinced! He has been persauded to consider it as a treatment by the fact that it seems to be making his nasty growths go away. This is really the best argument. I was convinced that he and his wife had not tried my suggestion and, because they were polite, had just not mentioned the matter to me again!Any advice gratefully received. MacG. Guest guest
I could not agree more with the suggestion of Zahavi on LDN. Second, not only sugars must be limited, all carbs from grains, wheat, etc, must be avoided, since they all became sugar in your gut. And, third, I would add Vitamin D, to the list below: http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/researchCancer.shtml . 2009/9/1 ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>: > > > that is great news. Guest guest
Dear Steph, Thanks for the rapîd reply and the infos. One little question : I follow the Iodine Protocol and take the 1 g B3 and 300 mg B2 per day. But I am not taking that for cancer. I have seen that the amounts of vitamin B in OTC B-complex products are piddling compared with what I take. What quantities of vitamin B should he be looking for in his B-complex. Will any off the shelf supermarket B complex do? MacG. Guest guest
I had cancer twice in 2002 and 2007 and read about 10 books and many alternative cancer treatments. Out of all these, #1 was the knowledge I learned from the book " Cancer Is Not a Disease - It's a Survival Mechanism " by s Moritz. He explained Cancer in a way that I'd never heard before. The book is a MUST READ and is my #1 recommendation for any cancer patient (or anyone with an illness). It is profound and personal and a person will realize things about their life when reading it. My only small complaint is he uses a few medical terms in the first chapters that might need a dictionary to define. Get past those and its smooth sailing. Reading the book, he likely won't have to fear cancer again. A book review from & Noble website (USA bookstore) " In all my many years of practicing medicine I have never come across such profound understanding of what cancer is and why people develop it. More importantly, when I read this book, I instantly lost my own fear of cancer and any other illness, and I now know what I need to do to support my body in its natural effort to heal. Nearly everything I have learned during the past 24 years of working in the medical field, I must now relearn, and with Moritz's incredible insights and understanding of health and illness, I am willing to do so. It makes such a difference to realize that we don't need to fight or suppress symptoms anymore, and that healing occurs automatically once we help the body do what it is meant to do. If you suffer from cancer, or have a friend or loved one who does, this is a must read! A true eye-opener I have not come across before. " Preview of the book at s website: http://ener-chi.com/more_can.htm Parts of the book can be read free at Google Books http://tinyurl.com/njxq9y Book at Amazon.com - many positive reviews there except 3 negatives all posted the same day! http://tinyurl.com/kql2nv I have a list of other " top supplements " that I gathered from reading the other cancer books. I'll send it by email. Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for your reply, but my friend is French and does not speak English. He also doesn't have a very good Internet connection. (Some people are still using very dodgy dial up connections in the deepest rural France and Internet is not free). So access to new ideas or approaches is a bit limited. Personnally I don't know what I would have done without the Internet. I would probably have been completely messed up before I found out about the Iodine Protocol. I have a good connection at home because my husband has an office here. Thanks anyway for the advice. I shall see if your book exists in French. MacG. From: shinycar10 <shinycar10@...>iodine Sent: Thursday, 3 September, 2009 4:02:51Subject: Re: What to do with my friend after a small success?
