Guest guest
This is something I often wonder about, whether I should eat something before working out in the morning. I like to go to the gym first thing, and not get up earlier in order to eat an hour before as most people recommend. I *feel* great exercising on an empty stomach, but have always wondered if Covert and others were right, that you have to " prime the pump " and have some carbs to get the fat burning. Is that the case for some other blood type? Gretchen RE: Re: 3 meals a day Because your stomach is empty and the body has to use stored fat for energy. Any other time you are burning up your last meal, not stored fat.
Guest guest
My yoga teachers tell me not to eat for 3 hours(heavy meal) or 1 hour (light meal) before doing yoga. They haven't given a specific reason, and I haven't asked, as it seemed self-evident to me that a full tummy would not go along with a workout... but I dunno.... - T > This is something I often wonder about, whether I should eat something before working out in the morning. Guest guest
Personally, I have found exercising on an empty stomach to be optimal for me - exercising withing a few hours of eating really slows me down and I find I can't work as hard. However, my roommate (a suspected type A) ALWAYS eats before going to yoga and seems to feel this is an absolute requirement for her, so perhaps there are differences in this by blood type? Clearly we each need to figure out what feels best for each of us and follow the signals our bodies give us, so if you feel best on an empty stomach, stop worrying about it and just go with that feeling!
