I'm going to PARIS!!! Fantasmagorical !!!!!! Take pictures of your favourite foods - worth a thousand words:-) Haul out a few magazines and start clipping. Or lug them along for airplane activity. You can take an Eng-French dictionary but so many words are confusing or similar to more than one English one. Learn a few key phrases. Use the international free translation websites to plan some - or get a phrase book. Pack O-snacks especially breakfast - traditional French is Jambon et Paine etc - bread hot out of the oven with ham and cheese, and do not expect them to sell it to you 3 hours old no matter how hungry you are :-) Do some internet research on restaurants and hotels where you are going, in advance. Take plenty of that deflect stuff for in case :-) Get a city map for where you are going, in advance. Easy to get lost in French cities - there's no easy numbering system like here and it is SO ancient the streets are at weird angles not in neat blocks. You'll have a GREAT time :-)) I wish you the BEST of French weather, it sure knows how to vary :-) You may consider telling them you are from somewhere else, not America. Americans have been so rude by French standards that nobody will " remember " any English if you come from America! Make an attempt to speak French - learn a few phrases - it is appreciated however bad it may be - and will usually get you some English in return. Lots of variety of food there, the French know how to eat. They respect how people are dressed - not too casual. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc; AASCA; MCSSA; D.I.Hom. Guest guest
Fingernails are protein and minerals. Most important are trace minerals (liquid) and possibly a cal/mag w/ D formula. Just be sure it is not calcium carbonate. Kathy Trish W <trishw@...> wrote: Any suggestion on what I can do to strengthen my nails?
