Ordering Bromide and Iodine tests in CA

So apparently I need to have a " note " from a doctor or nurse practitioner in

order to purchase the Combination Kit + Bromide tests for myself because I live

in California. Which forces me to pay extra $$ for NO REASON in order to get

tested properly. This sucks...

Anyone from CA know of a cheap way to get the referral?

And BTW, is there a SUPER SECRET PASSWORD I'm missing to get even a single

response from someone on this list?

There are some Iodine docs on the www.breastcancerchoices.org website - Iodine page. Maybe one of them has an idea on how to get it. Did you call Hakala Labs and that was what they told you? NY is the same way I believe.

Good point. You may be able to do it with FFP Labs - they are more expensive but you can check as Dr. Flechas is the doc that "writes" the order.

I know EXACTLY what you mean about a SUPER SECRET PASSWORD to get even a single

response. I have made several posts and not one answer.

Anyway, I live in CA and just completed tests from Dr. Flechas. He will provide

the order for you and also give you a free 15 minute consultation on the

results. There is a process and it can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to do

everything. I chose his lab (FFP) because of the willingness to perform the

tests with Dr. Flechas as the doctor ordering and the free consultation. I don't

know if any other lab offers this.

Does this test check for flouride. I am looking to do a test or tests for

flouride, iodine and thyroid hormone levels. Does anyone know what the best way

to go about this is?

Sometimes does maintenance and the messages get lost, or sometimes

just doesn't post.

If you don't get a response, check the messages on the website for to be certain

your message posted. If not, repost. I've had this happen.
