Info on treating ALS (Lou Gehrigs) disease with iodine/iodine protocol?

I have a friend with Lou Gehrigs (young woman, 36) who is trying to

approach her disease with natural treatments. This is an ugly disease

(my grandmother died in September from ALS).

I know she is having chelation treatments, had all her dental amalgams

removed, etc. She has had continued progression of disease, but

experiences relief of symptoms with chelation.

Any thoughts or information about using iodine with ALS? Thanks!

Chelation with iodine is an excellent idea! It removes chlorine,

bromine, mercury and lead from the body.

I don't think iodine actually chelates. That would imply actually binding

to the metals. I think it just knocks into the bloodstream where the body

deals with it in whatever way it can. So that is why people use salt to

help the body remove the bromine the iodine liberated. Unfortunately I

don't think the salt helps with the other toxins.

Do a search on ALS & Lyme Disease. Lyme Disease is called the great

imitator. Many MS & ALS patients have been diagnosed with Lyme

Disease. I do have Lyme Disease and have read a lot about it to heal

myself. The right/correct testing is important and even then most

tests are false negative. Also only 35% of Lyme Disease patients have

had the typical bull's eye rash. V
