Guest guest
Some people don't react very well to the NAE because of the extra adrenalin. If you continue to get these reactions, then try the Nutri Adrenal (without the 'Extra' ) and see how you get on with those. If you are OK on them, after a while, try the NAE again. There is nothing however in these supplements that would harm you. luv - Sheila I took my first NAE yesterday morning and another again this morning. Since taking it yesterday I have had breathlessness (not out of breath but feeling I need to take gulps of air) and a funny tightness in the centre of my chest (not exactly a pain). Is this likely to be a side effect or reaction to NAE? Also felt a bit 'hyper after lunch yesterday....... Hope it is not a reaction as so hoped that these would help me. Guest guest
Thanks very much Sheila I am not worried, but just wondered whether this could be a reaction. I have an ache right in the centre of my chest too. What actually is the difference in the 'glandular' part of the supplement between the Extra and the lower dose one? Is the difference purely just higher strength but same ingredient? I know it seems silly as people are on a much higher dosage than me but I am very sensitive to drugs/supplements anyway and get a lot of reactions to side effects. Guest guest
Hi Sheila Thanks for the info - I did already have that but just wondered if you knew whether the glandular extract was different apart from the amount of mg. Never mind I am just going to cut the NAE in 2 and have half for the rest of week 1. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your help and support and sorry that I have bothered you with trivial things when you have so much to do. If I can be of any help let me know though obviously as I am new to this I don't know much! Lesley x
Guest guest
Hi Lesley, Sometimes you get odd feeling with a change of meds- these usually settle within a few days- try not to worry as this will make things worse. Guest guest
Hi The chest pain and breathlessness got so bad that my husband wanted to take me to A & E so I stopped the NAE yesterday (took 2 and 1/2 altogether)and it is slowly going off today. I am not sure what is causing it whether the glandular extract or the vitamins. My husband bought me some vit B complex and Siberian Ginseng from Holland and Barrett to try. But will take the Vits first to see although not the same formula as in the NAE. The only other time I got these symptoms was when I was prescribed Deltacortril in 2000 and again Premarin (HRT) in 2005. The chest pain was exactly the same - not sharp but right in the centre of my chest and breathlessness as well. With the Premarin I was admitted to hospital as didnt realise it was that causing it but a soon as I stopped taking it the pain started to go but took a few days to completely go. I am really depressed now and so ill, only got another week on certificate before I have to go back to work- my GP signed me off for 3 weeks. My employer is going to send me for a medical review and if they think that the long term prognisis is not good I will have to leave. I am the main breadwinner so this will seriously affect us financially and I won't be able to afford to buy any supplements or medication then either. I really don't know what to do or what to take. Has anyone got any advice? I can't believe this has happened straight away as not even started the thyroid med yet! I will try and call Dr P on Monday but know it will be difficult to get through and will be another few weeks before I get all my test results back from Dr P. I am so desperate. Thanks for your support. Guest guest
Hi Lesley, The only thing that springs to mind is that oestrogen had a poor effect as well as prednisone . Have you thought of progesterone? This helps transport thyroid hormones ,but oestrogen blocks them- part of the natural regulation system, but which can also go wrong. See Dr. P's book 'your thyroid and how to keep it healthy'. Guest guest
Thanks for your advice . I am just waiting for my 1 day oestradiol/progesterone test results then would start taking progesterone if I am deficient. Also waiting for results of candida, adrenal and thyroid tests from Genova Diagnostics. I have come off all the other supplements at the moment as the chest pain and breathlessness still very bad. I feel like I have gone 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards. Don't know how on earth I will be able to go back to work on Monday. If anyone has got any more advice I would be so grateful as I am at the end of my tether now. Wondering if it was the BVits as I had heard they can cause problems but can't find the symptoms for reaction to BVits. Lesley x
