Celtic (unrefined) salt is fabulous for high blood pressure issues. Please get Dr. Brownstein's book on Salt your Way to Health. It has a full chapter dedicated to high blood pressure and the usage of salt.

Bromide is in computers, carpeting, cars and so much more. It is a flame retardant. We are exposed daily. It will take a while to detox and for some it can be many years. I am still detoxing after 3 1/2 years of high doses of iodine. My last reading was 62 ug/L which was up from 2 years ago when it was 24. It is probably due to the healing of my body to allow the iodine in and force the bromide out.

A bromide ion is a bromine atom with charge of −1.

how long to detox bromine?

Or is it bromide that we need to detox? I'm not sure what is the difference between bromide and bromine. I finally got around to reading about mountain dew and why brominated vegetable oil is so bad for us. That was my very favorite soda as a kid. Could I still be walking around with bromine from my childhood? I'm wondering how long does it take to detox bromine? I assume it be longer for me since my recent loading test tells me my absorption rate is not good? I'm taking steps to increase my rate of absorption. I didnt' realize until recently that flaxseed is goitrogenic? I started eating ground flaxseed for breakfast 2 years ago and then starting adding flaxseed oil last summer. So that's out now. My blood pressure is borderline high, so I plan to take potassium chloride in the place of salt for the loading protocol. ATP cofactor is in the mail. I thought I had been taking enough C but apparently not, so I'm shopping for that also. Thanks in advance for helpful replies.Jana
