Why did you lower your thyroid meds?

What is the health problem that has made you seek iodine?

mgs. I just received Lugol's iodine solution: 5% and I am wondering if I should

completely taper off of the thyroid medication before starting the iodine, or

not? Also, from what I have read Dr. Brownstein recommends 100mgs for severe

conditions, which it says is the equivalent of 8 drops of Lugol's 5% solution.

I am wondering if I should just start off with 50mgs and I am also wondering how

to dose it?

several times a day, and 1 scoop of Cholestryamine at night.

5% Lugol's is 6.25mg/drop divide into 100 equals 16 drops...

Thank you for inquiring...I really felt like I was being completely ignored on

here!

I guess I got it in my head that I could go off of the thyroid meds if I was

taking the iodine...I probably shot myself in the foot doing it, but I did it,

nonetheless..I am currently taking 60 mgs and I am taking 8 drops of the Lugol's

iodine. For certain there is a hypothyroid problem and severe adrenal issues as

well, just to name a few...
