Good Day, Volunteers For Life!

We have a huge event coming up this weekend at the Infineon Speedway

(Sonoma) where more than 100,000 people are expected to attend the

NASCAR races! If you are going, look for our tent and help us educate

some folks about donation! There are more events at the Infineon

scheduled for this summer, so if you are interested in helping out,

contact Amy Barbieri at abarbieri@... to volunteer your time.

Interested in being in a parade? We are in Sonoma for the Annual Good

Old Fashioned 4th of July parade! If you don't have any other plans for

that weekend, please come join us in the parade as we walk through the

town square of Sonoma with our Transplant Network van and hand out donor

cards. See below for more details.

On July 17th, there is a Speakers Training course scheduled for the

Fresno area. Please sign up with Ursula at uboldt@... by Friday,

June 25th. Thank you! As a reminder, there is an orientation course

scheduled for Oakland on 9/25 so if you haven't attended one within the

last two years, please consider signing up for that class with Ursula.

Attached is the latest "Facts About Transplantation in the United

States." Periodically, we receive these updates and they are nice to

have as you are out speaking about donation to the public. There are

some "interesting to know" type facts on the sheet.

Last but not least, please continue to check the Web site www.ctdn.org

<http://www.ctdn.org/> for upcoming events. If you have contact with

other volunteers that do not have internet access and are wondering how

they can still be involved, please give them our Volunteer Information

Line 800.245.4808 x6715 One of our volunteers, Vince Agor, updates the

message each week straight from the Web site, so it's very current with

the events you see on the Web site.

THANKS and have a great week!

The Sonoma 2004 Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade is on! We are

participating in this event to help raise awareness for organ donation,

promote the Transplant Games and to have fun! Here are the details:

Meet at 9 a.m.

Veterans Hall

126 First Street

Sonoma

Wear your Transplant Games team uniform t-shirt, CTDN volunteer t-shirt

or last choice, any organ donation t-shirt you might have!

We will have the CTDN van with the "Donate Life" message as well as a

few props to carry along the streets of Sonoma!

Please recruit all your friends and family to join in as well. The more

folks we have, the bigger and better our message is.

The parade ends and the fun begins at the town square in the heart of

Sonoma! There are information booths, games for the kids, food, and

fireworks in the evening....an old fashioned 4th of July celebration!

Please come celebrate the message of "donate life" with us on July 4th.

Please contact Olmo for more information or to RSVP at

colmo@... or at 510.273.6717 THANK YOU!!!
