no, it was dr. Chen. I had found it comical that she was so insistent it couldn't be measles, yet could qoute the death rate off the top of her head.

Thanks for the confirmation of facts, I found it pretty interesting

too how they had to look up measles in a book but then they seemed to know

all about it all of a sudden when it came time to promote vaccines!

No, it was definately Dr Chen who said that statistic. That was all she

said. Dr pretty much took the case from her after that, then he

brought Cleo into the conversation. As far as I can remember, Cleo never

said anything to the parents and the first thing she said about the case was

when she and Dr were going out to the ambulance and she was talking

about " white people " .

Dear Jess: ER visits are NOT fun. I hope your doc can get to the root of your prob. What kind of specialist do you go to? Is it a pulmonary doc?

Hi Lee,

Yes I see a Pedi pulmo, a Pedi, an asthma coordinator, a Pedi GI, and a Pedi allergist. To morrow I'm going to see my Pedi and my asthma coordinator. They follow my case better then any of the other ones. I will let you all know what they have to say.

Dear Jessi,

I hope you start to feel better soon. Sounds like you had a horrible

time. I don't blame you for wanting to leave the ER and go home, but

couldn't they have admitted you to the hospital if you were so ill?

Sounds to me like they should have. I hope you have good health insurance.

Take good care of yourself.

Hi ,

I really don't mind the hospital I have a lot of friends there, but I really wasn't bad enough to have to stay. They asked me and i told them the truth I told them that I was still tight but that I was well enough to go home. I don't mess around with my breathing. If it was any worse I would have stayed but I can do everything here that they can do there minus the oxygen. I probably should have stayed but I see my doctor tomorrow and I will get some IV fluids and I'll be fine. Really if I get any worse I will go back. I just didn't feel that I needed to take up a bed at the hospital just for them to send me home the next day.

How are you doing? I hope well! :) Take care everyone.

Dear ,

Hang in there--know the going is getting tough but stick it out and get

the care your children need. There are warm understanding pediatricians out

there who are willing to trust what you say. I am wishing you the best of

luck in hoping you find one with excellent communication skills who will

really listen to you.

Sorry youhad to bring the kids to the ER. SOme doctors just don't get it or

even care to get it. They think they are GOd and know everything. I am

sure we have all encountered a few of them. I am sorry that you have to

keep finding them.

As around and then interview them. Ask if they have any kids with immune

deficiencies. Ask how they treat them. If you have a immuno, ask him or

her if they could recommend someone.

Our hem recommended our ped to us. We had one that had faxed the hem some

counts never called to see if they got them etc. They sat in a pile for 3

days. If it wasn't for me calling could have gotten sicker. He just

didn't get it.

Wishing youluck. And I am sorry that you are going through all of this.

The doctor's office shouldn't say that the doctor isn't happy to see a

child. He is getting paid so what does it matter. It isyour time and your

child. This just really gets to me...

Oh BTW, your story didn't bore me. Glad you shared. I hope it made you

feel a little better getting all that out.
