Guest guest
, When I read your post I had to laugh...... My twins were born on different days-Mason was natural/vaginal & Skylar was c-section(non emergency)The kids were 6hrs & 4mins apart so after Mason was born,we just waited for Skylar to turn(she was breech) & boy I wish I had a cocktail waitress in between(I was soooo thirsty) But as far as the nurses & the doctors went ... it was calm & no was doing much just standing around waiting....lol Amber : )

Guest guest
My husband and I are so angry at this episode! And I love they had to get the book out to see what it was. And I wanted to smack with his attack on the mother. Can you imagine how someone thinking about vaccines at this moment and watching this is feeling? I am sure someone is going to call the doctor in the morning to get a vaccine!!! Mom to 5 Connecticut > Okay, it's a commercial, but no one in the er can tell what measles are because they've never seen a case yet when the mom comes in and says " oh measles that's not bad right " the er dr. is able to say " Don't let anyone leave his daycare 1 in 500 children die from the measles " And they did a spinal tap on him! Guest guest
> > And besides, the boy could have gotten the measles from someone who > was vaccinated... No, he got measles from those wacko's in Europe, certainly not from some vaccinated american child! You've really got to hand it to them, they managed to reduce the anti-vax argument to some unintelligible ramblings by a hysterical mom... all while they threw around " facts " like the 1 in 500 stat and " there is no autism connection " . Funny, the vaccine concerned people take their arguments before congress, while the vaccine proponents use ER to spew their propaganda and fear mongering. This only serves to make me more confident in my decisions (and beliefs of conspiracy theories.... which were also mentioned and laughed off) S. > > > > Great. > > L. > > Proud mom to Autumn 1-13-97 & Zoe 8-8-00 > > > > " In time and with water, everything changes. Guest guest
Here's my letter: Your recent episode of ER was outrageous, uninformed, and hurtful. With so much potential to sway the general public's opinion- one would think that people like you would take the time to research and be informed before airing shows with such controversial subjects as vaccinations. Your potrayal of the family who chose not to vaccinate their children as being ignorant, radical and uninformed was simply wrong. Have you any idea how painstaking the decision to not vaccinate can be for a parent? If your writers had taken the time to speak with any non-vaccinating or heaven forbid- spoken with any parent of a vaccine injured (or killed) child: you would have found that these parents have educated themselves with furvor on the topic of vaccinations and on the diseases which they are supposed to prevent. It is ironic that parents who take the time to research and make informed decisions regarding their children's health are potrayed as bad parents- when generally the parents who have made the choice to vaccinate know NOTHING at all about the vaccine or it's side effects. What does that tell you? There are many aspects to this topic that could have made an enlightening episode of ER- it is unfortunate that you have let yourselves be bought out (as your advertisements clearly indicate) and are unable to approach issues with an open mind and present both sides. I am extremely disappointed. Sincerely, Lori Redfield Viewer in CT, USA
Guest guest
Isn't it funny how the internet is deemed as such a wonderful thing, what with all the access to information that all of us are able to research. But when it comes to something such as vaccinations, the internet is now something that is looked down upon because it is full of misinformation. My OB/Gyn said the same thing to me regarding the internet that I have read was on this episode of ER. The propaganda being fed to our conventional medicine doctors is frightening. I'm plan on making a conventional ped VERY unconventional for my precious unborn son. Joanna ton, SC
