Yes... Apple juice is second best only because it contains many more

calories... The real substance in the flush is the olive oil that

causes the gb to erupt. You can drink the oil straight... I have

done it before! It certainly is more fun to have a chaser!

Dear Jim,

I think the citric acid is a vital component of flushes(you need an acid/oil

mix), apple

juice has malic acid and will soften up your stones or you could try grape juice

as this

helps break up cholesterol. Grapes and grape juice are recommended for people

with gb

problems, because of this.

Are there any particular foods that set you off? they can be very unusual foods,

not

always fats.

I don't know whether food intolerances make gallstones or does having gallstones

give you

more food intolerances? still working on that one, but you'll definately help

yourself in

the short term by finding out which foods cause you pain.If, you want any more

info let me

know.
