Guest guest
Yes... Apple juice is second best only because it contains many more calories... The real substance in the flush is the olive oil that causes the gb to erupt. You can drink the oil straight... I have done it before! It certainly is more fun to have a chaser! ken
Guest guest
Dear Jim, I think the citric acid is a vital component of flushes(you need an acid/oil mix), apple juice has malic acid and will soften up your stones or you could try grape juice as this helps break up cholesterol. Grapes and grape juice are recommended for people with gb problems, because of this. Are there any particular foods that set you off? they can be very unusual foods, not always fats. I don't know whether food intolerances make gallstones or does having gallstones give you more food intolerances? still working on that one, but you'll definately help yourself in the short term by finding out which foods cause you pain. If, you want any more info let me know. Good Luck bye from Jane. -----Original Message----- From: sammy_mom@... [mailto:sammy_mom@...] Sent: 16 April 2001 16:17 gallstones Subject: Must you use citrus I am very sensitive to citrus fruits.
