Guest guest
I'm going to build DIY Gupta Magnetic Pulser http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/2003/08/19/build_a_low_cost_simple_magneti\ c_pulser.htm Couple of quesions: 1. It's written that: „Any SCR with PEAK current of at least 600 to 1000 amps should work. The one shown is 20 amp continuous with the appropriate peak rating... " . I checked the S6020L specs and the peak current is 250A. Why is that? Is 250A enough? 2. I'm not sure about the Fig. 3 „Autopulse Circuit " : there is a switch and two 1Mohm potentiometers with „50% " and „70% " markings. Should this work as a switch between different pulse (Hz) settings? Do " 50% " and " 70% " represent roughly 500 and 300kohms settings? 3. Is it a good idea to use separating transformer (1/1 ratio) on input for increased safety? This trafo should have it's nominal power equal or greater than the total power of light bulbs, right?
