The cause is unknown, but like many other types of arthritis, abnormal immune response, genetic predisposition and environmental triggers, and infectious agents are all being considered. What are the symptoms? High fevers are a common symptom, rising as high 106 degrees and falling quickly, only to rise again. Salmon colored skin rash that does not itch is also common. Other physical symptoms include joint pain, fatigue, and sore throat. The heart, lungs, spleen and lymph glands may become inflamed. How is it diagnosed? Diagnosis is difficult because the symptoms so often resemble those of other types of arthritis. Diagnosis is made after careful physical exam, medical history, and by the use of blood tests and x-rays. The rheumatoid factor and ANA which may be positive in other types of arthritis, are usually negative with Still's disease. How is it treated? The treatment of JA focuses on relieving pain, reducing inflammation, slowing or stopping joint damage, and improving the individual's sense of well-being and ability to function. _______________________________________ So.... looks like detoxification and liver support are in order, yes? Liver flushes, increasing antioxidant values especially the main one, glutathione, will reduce toxin load and reduce pain and inflammation by modifying the inflammatory signals (Th2 cell proliferation) and by quenching irritating and damaging free radicals. Abnormal immune function might have been caused by the toxin load, which resulted in improperly formed receptor sites on the cells. This is important because the hormonal messages and such have to have intact receptors to stick to or there is a lack of control of the immune response. Malformed cell receptors are improved by supplementing with Ambrotose from Mannatech, which provided the essential sugars that MUST be available to be incorporated into those receptors. This restores control of many cell functions including those of the immune system. Taking supplements to restore joint (cartilage) damage is pretty easy but I'm not sure a 9-year old will need to do that. Cetyl-myristoleate for sure does that and some say the synthetic CIS-9-cetyl-myristoleate (CMO) also forces cartilage growth and helps with immune dysfunction. Unlike medical treatment, the above non-medical treatment would be a 'cure' if we were allowed to call it that. Guest guest
Hi Dear, Your son seems to have a vata-pitta condition. Go on the web and look up an anti-vata,pitta diet for him, as all disease begins in the digestive track, and the cure also comes from there. See Ayurveda on the web site, for more information on what is vata, and what is pitta. Blessings, Whitneay T. Guest guest
Hi Dear, Your son seems to have recalcitrant plebnus. The only way you can cure this condition is to get out of Dodge City I suggest you take KLM because people in Dutch always do.
