Hi

I think that 80% (this figure could be higher) of people with Reiters will be

HLAB27 positive and then the majority of those people will be male.

However Im negative and female and there seems to be a number of us out there

who fit this profile.

I asked my specialist the other day am I considered to have Reiters or am I

considered to have undifferentiated arthritis and he said that although I dont

fit the exact profile he considers me to have Reiters.

Regards

:

Thanks. One more math question. What are the odds that both husband and

wife would have the same Reiter's reaction to a bacteria or virus? Another

long shot... right?

My wife and I did! You'd think the medical community would of jumped on that

one. Not!

I have a patient who was given the ANA test and it was negative. There seems to be a lot of false negatives with that test, but wondered if I should inquire about the HLAB27 as well. This is the patient that had a disc bulges of L4/L5..L5/S1 with weird complete numbness of lower right leg as only symptom and a weird burning in T12 area and intercostal which when you follow the rib anteriorly she claims it feels like someone punched her at/near the costo/chondral connection at sternum. Her family hx is what makes me think auto-immune. Grandma and sister both have Lupus. ph Medlin D.C.

Hi Bob,

Early herpes should respond to the oral administration of Vit.B12 in combination with folic acid and Lysine taken every 2-3 hours. For topical application use the contents of a high potency Vit.E capsule in combination with zinc ointment to make a salve for application to lesions until all discomfort is gone.

Thanks Herb, Charlie and Sunny. Early zoster crossed my mind at one point, but I didn’t see any rash along the intercostal. Does it exist without rash? I mean, it definitely resembles the zoster type of interscostal neuritis.
