Guest guest
Hi , I had my surgery two months ago and I feel excellent in health and spirits. Since you are very young you would have no problem with the surgery. I was walking 3 hours after the surgery and it was an outpatient procedure. I experienced no pain. You need to find a good surgeon who has done lot of these kinds of surgeries. Go for it it . Don't suffer any more. Ajit --- gmrosario@... wrote: > > Hi all. I'm ready for surgery. I can only wish you the best on your choice. Dale >> *************************************** Hi, Dale, Good e-mail. I hope you still continue to do good, plus continue to improve. Yes, even though I'm trying hard to keep my GB because of the other consequences, there could be a chance that I'll lost it. Plus I think about it, I just don't have the money for medical care. Not having any insurance makes it hard. I don't know any doctors at all around me that would work with me. They are mostly pretty narrow-minded around here. Some of the ones that I've talked to mock any kind of natural healing methods. I believe the medical profession needs a huge overhaul. You talked about essential fatty acids, yes, indeed we need these. Remember all the hoopla about " no fat, no fat, no fat " several years ago? That is very dangerous for everyone. We need those fatty acids in raw nuts, avocados, olive oil, sesame oil, etc. Our bodies thrive on them. Well, I hope you do continue to do good. Please keep us updated. Take care, Susie
Guest guest
; I can't help but to wonder about some of the process to which you set yourself when doing a flush. I know that for the most common of stones, the cholesterol type, that laying on the right side is recommended for getting the stones into the common bile duct. With calcified stones it requires changing the position of the body to get the neck of the gallbladder set so the stones can get to its neck. I've been quite fortunate in being able to rid myself of the stone the doctors wanted to cutout in March of '99'. I can't say it was a pleasant journey, in fact, it was like living a nightmare worrying about whether I would be waking up with one of my many attacks. I would often fall off the dietary wagon and eat things I knew would potentially cause me to have another attack. Fortunately for me I had a doctor who worked with me in my process of self cure and would get me a prescription for a pain medication to help me thorough the bad nights. I probably took somewhere in the neighborhood of 90 to a hundred roxicets over a seven month time period. At the time of my last sever attack, which sent me to the hospital, I had around fifteen pills left. I still have 3 left from the last attack and have used them only for when my arthritis would get to a point where I just couldn't stand it anymore. So, I would say that less than one a month for the last one and a half years isn't doing too bad. When I first learned about my condition I didn't know of any support groups from which to get help and just attempted things pretty much by trusting the information I did gather. I however wasn't clued in to the need for certain fats while attempting to really avoid all forms of fats. The liver and the gallbladder need certain fats for them to function correctly. That is why they are considered Essential Fatty Acids. In my desire to be really good about avoiding fats, after my second to the last attack which occurred a month before the October of '99' attack, I was hell bent on making sure I didn't consume any fats at all. I avoided all sorts of fats and suffered perhaps the most sever of attacks within a month of doing so. In fact I had some serious liver damage showing up but I also showed as cleared of all stones and my gallbladder, liver and pancreas looked really good, but, there was indications of liver damage and hepatitis A & C. Since learning about the need for essential fatty acids, and from where to obtain them, I haven't had one gallbladder attack. In fact, I've been able to get away with eating foods I shouldn't even consider eating, like the pepperoni pizza I had tonight, (shame, shame) because I'll feel it, but it shouldn't cause me 'pain'. I'm already feeling it as I write but I can pretty much be sure that taking the enzymes I do along with the EFAs I'm going to be just fine. You noted the number of stones you've gotten out as in the hundreds. I can assure you that I can say that I had them in the hundreds with some sittings. I'm quite sure this is why the doctor was concerned because of the enlarged bile ducts in my liver that showed with the ultrasound done at my last attack in '99'. I can really appreciate your feeling the need to get surgery and I hope you're also aware that there is a group of those that have had the surgery from which you can get some great encouragement too. Not all can or will be able to succeed in keeping their gallbladders, or other organs, considering the state we're all pretty much in at this time, some by heredity and others by abuses or accident. You're young yet and it would seem a shame to be so long without a gallbladder, the rest of your life can be a pretty long time. I can only wish you the best on your choice. Guest guest
Hi, I had surgery in December, after 3 years of struggling with pain on and off. I seemed to have a handle on it for a long while, but the last year the pain came back, with increasing frequency. Almost 4 months after surgery, I am great. No pain, no symptoms of any kind. I eat whatever I want. I went a bit nuts at first with the newfound freedom, but now I am careful so that I don't put on weight, and I am actually starting to lose a little weight, which is good. If you have any questions about surgery, recovery, etc, please feel free to e-mail me privately. Best of luck, Debra _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
