Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have been using the following bread recipe in my bread machine and in mho, it is better than the one posted on my website. I got it from the internet (which is where I got the other one). The one on the website tends to lose moisture fast and it gets a little crumbly after a couple days. This recipe stays nice for a week! (I keep it in the fridge after the 3rd day.) Try it out!! I made some Ghee last week and burned it a little. =( My BF had made it the last time so I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I found a neato website that actually had a Quicktime movie that you could watch on how to make it. Plus, I got a HUGE education on the benefits of Ghee and it's history. So now, I cook our eggs in Ghee (used to be olive oil) and add it to other things also. Even though the Ghee tastes a little scorched due to the slight over-cooking, it makes eggs taste fabulous!! I haven't found anything that says I shouldn't eat burned Ghee so I will continue to use it up! Interesting Ghee story: http://www.rherald.com/News/2003/0717/Front_Page/f02.html Coryn Spelt Bread for Bread Machine (From the Internet) 1-1/4 Cup Water 1 Tbsp Honey 1 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 Egg 3-1/2 Cups Spelt Flour Salt 2 tsp Yeast Note: The first time I used this recipe, I accidently used 1/3 cup of honey (out of habit from my ususal recipe) and it had the prettiest sheen on the crust and turned out just fine! Also, I use whole spelt flour. Enjoy!!
