Guest guest Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Just like Denis, I'm very glad to have found this site. I stumbled into RISG.org by googling for " post Reiter's syndrome " . My husband had an outbreak of Reiters back in the 70's. That episode lasted approx 11 months and manifested itself by extreme pain in his hands and feet. He was fortunate to find a rheumatologist who also had suffered from Reiters so was very familiar with it. About 2 mos ago, he developed a " sausage " toe and pain in his rib cage that migrates from one side to the other. The rib pain goes away for days at a time only to recur with a vengeance. It sounded to me like a recurrence of his Reiter's. Some folks who have had polio suffer with polio like symptoms years later - so I felt that Reiter's could recur too. Now I know it can. Thank you to whoever put the website out there. You did a lot of research. I'm hoping to find some folks who can talk symptoms with me so I can find out if these are related to Reiters. Thanks.
