Guest guest
I have heard some say to eat fruit separately from other foods for digestion reasons. I typically use fruit to snack on so it's usually separate for me but I don't do it on purpose. When juicing, you want to primarily keep them vegetable based with an apple or orange in there for sweetness or else you will be drinking alot of sugar and not filling up. Your juice books will explain that in further detail. I did juice just oranges on vacation for everyone in the morning and they loved the fresh orange juice. > Okay, I have a question . I hear so much confkicting info, so I am just > curious about y'alls(LOL) opinion! Should fruit be eaten alone(to keep it > from putrefying while other food digests) or should it be eaten with fruit > or nuts(to discourage an insulin rush)?????? I am asking in terms of weight > loss and maintenance, but more importantly in terms of feeling good. I remember reading it somewhere, and now I can't find it. Why are watermelons okay, but not cantalope or honeydew? Thanks, Carolyn
Guest guest
Cantalope and honeydew melons are avoids because of a mold problem. There are several melons that are listed as Neutral: Canang Melon Casaba Melon Christmas Melon Crenshaw Melon Persian Melon Spanish Melon and as you mentioned watermelon They are a little harder to find, but I can still usually find some of them occasionally in the local stores. I haven't had all of them. The ones I had tasted very much like cantalope. Don Fruit question Hi, Anyone know off-hand why melons (except for watermelon) are avoids for us?
