Guest guest
Irene, how do you take the rice bran fiber? I.e., by the spoonful, the capsule, etc? I have found in my last few months on the blood type diet that rice constipates me, but I assume that the fiber alone wouldn't do that! Gretchen Re: Sugar Cravings Question Hi, My personal recipe to ovecome sugar cravings - is to eat high protein, 5 grams of fiber, some antioxidant and at least a teaspoon of oil/fat five times a day - evenly spaced! ..... Fiber can be rice bran fiber.
Guest guest
Someone that has the Diabetes book can confirm this, but I have marked in my database that all forms of rice, including rice bran are downgraded to Neutral Infrequent in the Diabetes book. Why not use ground flaxseed and/or larch? Ground flaxseed also gives you some good flaxseed oil at the same time. Someone posted about a year ago a cheaper source then NAP for larch: http://www.beyond-a-century.com/ They have a several other things of interest including N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG), which is the primary ingredient in Deflect-O. I believe it. Grains are just not our friends. Had a guy on the radio today trashing Atkins. He had a long list of standard crap people have been intellectually fed for years. Nothing new except I found out after his diatribe that he works for the wheat industry--what a surprise.
