Guest guest
Rice stuff is OK per D'Adamo for our diet HOWEVER I just learned that rice cereals, espec. are HUGE glycemic index which means they will jump your sugar levels up, then plunge, giving insulin reaction issues, and swiftly dropping energy levels. It also leads some to become diabetics, with the sugar highs and lows, if eat like this over time. Also it may cause you to crave sugar, any sugars, sweets, bread or cake type carbs. I am sure you don't want to start out your day with that experience! I have noticed this with my own body. We do need to learn to trust our own bodies... When I began the ER diet in Dec I bought rice cereals. I ate them but was not feeling satiated and was starving about 90 mins. later. Then I realized the glycemic index in Jan and I am getting away from rice sources for snacks (rice cakes) and dry cereals. So far, so good. Sometimes I eat rice with dinner but it is a wild rice that is not the same as a puffed white rice cereal, for example.

Please realize that if you eat " " " properly " " " than you are keeping your insulin under control. This is a perfect example why most Os don't get the O diet. Your most important foods are: green veggies, animal protein and fat! Which means that your " old " idea of a meal needs to be thrown out of the window. Rice cereal is not what an O should consume as part of a meal. But if you do eat it, than it should be combined with enough protein and fat. So as you see the glycemic index is not a concern when eating for your blood type. If you are new to this way of eating, please give your body a chance to heal itself and eat HB foods with focusing on PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN!!!!! Leave starches to the other blood types to consume. After all, don't you want to feel healthy???? Guest guest
When explaining and showing the book to newbies I like to point out that any catagory the has few to none HB foods (dairy & Grains for O) is a catagory that even the neutrals should be consumed in limited amounts. Also, processed rice cereal and whole grain brown rice can not really be considered in the same group. While you're making changes in your eating - make those changes to REAL food.
