Eilene and all,

I wanted to mention that green beans actually come out of the " bean "

category (not the vegetable category) if you are using the LR4YT

frequency/portion guidelines. ita

Wow! I didn't realize. I did indeed view it as a veggie. Thank you!

I always looked at green beans as a veggie. I think it is misplaced under the

bean category. just my 2,

Maybe the pod could be considered a veggie? If so, you could

consider a serving of green beans as 1/2 veggie and 1/2 bean/legume.

Either way they should just be eaten occasionally because there are

better veggie and bean choices.

Emmi, I always looked at them as a veggie, too, and checked and double-checked

with Dr. D's folks, and indeed, though it's listed in the vegetable section in

LR4YT, when counting servings of beans and veggies, it comes out of the bean

bucket.

Ok, I see in the type base Green/Snap/String Beans = O neutral, Yes it's under

the catogory of Beans/Legumes. Strange...

I sort of remembered from the old BB Dr. D or Heidi saying green beans were to

be counted as a veggie.

Guess we can go either way, LOL
