Jen,

Did you say you brushed with MSM? How do you do it? Do you just put some on

in the powdered form, or mix it with something? How much do you use?

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks :) Unfortunately I will never have white shiney teeth because either

due to fluorosis from taking fluoride pills daily when I was a kid or enamel

displacement in utero (depending on which dentist you ask), my teeth are

missing enamel and have brown spots in quite a few places. :-/

Jen,

What is MSM?

MSM is methyl-sufonyl-methane, the organic form of sulfur. It's one of the

most abundant substances in our body, after carbon, water, and salt or

something like that. It's in all foods I think or vegetable foods but most

gets lost in processing including washing and steaming etc.

I don't think MSM is extremely bitter. I'm using 100% pure lignisul MSM and

I'd say it's mildly bitter. I take it orally mixed with warm water, and it

is only starting to taste bitter now that I upped my dosage to 3/4 teaspoon.

In my mouth, it is somewhat bitter, however it is *much* more pleasant than

brushing with pure baking soda!

I had a bulk pound of the same brand, and it was so bitter to me that

I could not take it. I tried mixing it in applesauce and juice with

no luck. Finally, I discovered that a teaspoon of MSM dissolved in a

liter of water is tasteless, and I was able to consume the jar of MSM

a few teaspoons per day in water.

A recent study found some people are more sensitive to bitter than others.

They are called " super tasters " , President Bush Sr was one he was unable

to eat Brussel Sprouts the bitter taste was too strong.

Is it 100% pure? The one labelled 100% pure lignisul MSM in my health food

store was slightly more expensive than Russ's including shipping. Is

Lignisul a brand name? I could have sworn I saw a generic bottle that used

the word " lignisul " on it.

I got my MSM from Russ. He's a great guy, and I had no problem with

my order. However, I've since discovered that his price for a pound

of MSM is a bit high. http://www.moonmountainapothecary.com/ and

http://www.msm-msm.com/ both sell it for about half of what Russ

charges. I don't know which brand the Moon Mountain folks carry, but

msm-msm carries both the Lignisul (the brand that Russ sells) and

Opti-MSM brands.

Yep. Both sites claim they're selling pure MSM.

That's the name of one of the two major MSM manufacturers.
