Guest guest
Alyce, Do not suffer like this another week. Go to your doctor and get antidepressants. I have had depression. It makes everything look awful. Please go to the doctor. If I was near you I would help you go. But I am not, so your just gonna have to do this for me. Call your doctor on Monday. Make an appointment. After you make your appointment email us back.

Alyce OK with me (and since I make the rules I guess that's the vote that really counts). The idea is to only have people already banded so that we avoid the " doctor wars " and " mexico vs US " and " my doctor is better than your doctor " and " what's a fill " and " why should I do this instead of a bypass " and similar questions. However, I DO hope your daughter will join us. She may (or may not) be the youngest person on here, but that's ok too. Even with " tough love " we're pretty nice people, I think. dan I never complain, never ask why, please don't let my dreams run dry.... www.mylapband.tk Dan Lester, Boise, Idaho, USA Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/27/03 355/323/212/
Guest guest
Alyce, Its very normal to feel like nothing has changed until you get your first fill. Tell your daughter to be patient, it will happen. Because the good docs use the " creeping up " method she may need 2 or 3 before its really good. This helps us to adjust slowly, which is the key here. If I've learned one thing these past almost 2 years its that change happens a little at a time. Unfortunately I've had a complete unfill because of my slip and even though I still do have some restriction the change happened quickly and I really wasn't fond of that after learning to take things slowly. It can be hard for a young person to be patient and understand that consistency and the things you do every day are what really matters. Keep instilling the concept to her. My son had pretty good restriction after his first fill of 1 cc. We're all different, but she will probably feel a difference even if its not drastic and thats good. He just had his 3rd fill after all this time and is doing great. Stay strong. Carol > > Thanks, if I did not read these boards for my daughter we would be totally lost. This info. everyone gives is crucial for this lapband process. She does not see the support as important now, but she will in the future, especially when she gets to a good fill level. Right now everything is going through her band and she is hungry 30 minutes after she eats. Her first fill is Monday. Ayce > > > Re: Alyce > > >Thanks so much.
