Guest guest
Wondering how much the surgery has helped other people with scoliosis and have you had any improvement in pain and getting around. And whats it like to have your back stiff as a board. Right now I'm 46 and my whole back is about to collaspe.
Guest guest
Hi Unweary... I had my surgery at age 42 and found that all of the pain I had before surgery was gone after surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery itself caused new pain that took a long time to subside. And, although I was stiff for a long time, that eventually went away as well. Guest guest
Hi! I am 9 months post op and feel GREAT!! I am fused from T5 to T11 and have very little stiffness. The only time I really notice it is when I try to twist in the car to check my blind spot. I am 30 yrs old. The pain has definitely decreased. My main problem is when I get up in the morning I am a little sore and stiff, but it works itself out after a few minutes. I went back to work (dental assisting) after 9 weeks. Physical therapy was a big help. If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to email me directly. Good luck!! candi >From: " unweary " <unweary@...> >Reply-Scoliosis Treatment >Scoliosis Treatment >Subject: unweary here again >Date: Sat, 07 Feb 2004 03:13:12 -0000 > > Wondering how much the surgery has helped other people with >scoliosis and have you had any improvement in pain and getting >around.
