Guest guest
I wonder how come there's no organization or foundation that is dicticated to research better treatments and non surgery treatments for scoliosis like others such as AIDS, Cancers.... Maybe we need to form a powerful foundations to find the cure for us. With the technology and the DNA and all other new info going on, we should be able to find out more about why scoliosis occur and better treatment than surgry... Guest guest
Hi Prisilala... Who told you there was no organization dedicated to the research of scoliosis? :-) The Scoliosis Research Society (http://www.srs.org) funds all sorts of spinal deformity studies, including many on the genetics of scoliosis. You can read about helping to fund research here: http://www.scoliosis.org/resources/callforaction2.php Regards, > I wonder how come there's no organization or foundation that is > dicticated to research better treatments and non surgery treatments > for scoliosis like others such as AIDS, Cancers.... > > Maybe we need to form a powerful foundations to find the cure for > us. And I'd really like to have the medical research focus on > none surgery part instead of doing surgery. Rene Russo has scoliosis. So does the cellist Yo Yo Ma. Offhand, I can't think of any other celebs who have been open about it, but I'm sure there are some out there who have it. Has anyone else heard of any? D. Guest guest
Galler (not sure if it's the correct spelling) the actress from " Buffy " has scoliosis too.. I have some resources to the celebrites and I can probably find one of them to be spokesperson. However, I have no idea about how to set and run the foundations. If anyone is very serious about doing this and helping it please email me at prisilala@... maybe we can really set one for ourselves. I'm interested in findng the non surgery treatments for scoliosis. Does anyone know are there any similar organizations out there already?
