hey cricket,

gosh i can't believe my luck... finally someone in raleigh who doesn't

vaccinate either, lol. i live in holly springs!!!!!!! we haven't, up

to now, had the need to find a ped, but i guess from what i've heard

in the neighborhood, it's real hard to find one that goes along with

our opinions! it's much more important to them that the cash flow is

right at the end of the day, and it won't be if their patients don't

get vaccinated! i also got a lot of bullying from the school my 9 year

old daughter attends (she's about to come out, i'm going to

homeschool!). but once they realized that i know as much as they do,

they've kept a somewhat lower profile... btw, my son is two days

younger than your daughter, maybe we should get together, you can

e-mail me if you're interested!

anyways, welcome to the list, you'll learn loads here. there is a

vaccine awareness group in n.c., in charlotte, it's run by lisa

(forgotten her 2nd name), her e-mail addy is werpave@..., if

you're interested.

Nadine -

I would love to have the titles of the articles, books, and web sights you

mentioned below. I am just starting out in my quest for knowledge in this area,

so any input would be greatly appreciated.

>How do you support/defend your choice not to vaccinate without sounding like a

I do it logically.

1. Vaccines are toxic

2. possible animal viral contamination

3. vaccines do not simulate natural infection. the science of how vaccine work

is not well understood.

4. long term effects on the immune system are unkown

5. vaccines can change the age shift of disease to make the young and the old

more vulnerable.

the list goes on that way.

Welcome .

Welcome !

It's so neat to hear from adults who were not vaccinated!

I think it is a testimonial to our choices to not vaccinate

our children.

Did you experience the 'typical' childhood diseases?

How did you do with them if you did?

In reference to defending/sharing my choice about not

vaccinating. Some people jump to, " oh my, you gotta

give 'em their shots! " I simply and calmly ask them if

they've done any extensive research on the matter. I ask

if they have any idea of any adverse effects or what is

actually contained in the vaccines - besides the dead

viruses. Most people say, " uuuhhh... no. " At that point,

if their interested, I will share what I've learned. Otherwise

the conversation is over. One of my very best friends

who was a mentor throughout my pregnancy and attended

my home birth had her child vaccinated. When it came time

for me to make that decision and I was struggling so much

she simply said, " It seems like your intuition has already

given you your answer, so just listen. " I thought that was

a kind thing to say... even though she believes differently.

Yes, I too get very upset and angry that we, as parents, are

entrusted to bring up a child but we aren't entrusted to

make the best decisions about what we put into our

children's bodies. It make me absolutely sick that the

almight dollar takes precedence over the health and well

being of our beloved babies.

Hope you enjoy the list as much as I do.

Dear " " , here. If you tried to get FDA, AMA,

WHO to sign a form stating that vaccines are safe, they couldn't.

However, having been in the research business for many years, I can tell

you that there are many doctors and immunologists who don't get their

kids done, and don't tell anyone about it. Extended breast feeding. As

I said in my general letter last week, when our first was born I was

told that I couldn't breastfeed. Ian gave me the sack at 20.5 months,

because I was 7 months pregnant, and every time he came for a feed he

got belted up by in utero. fed for 4 and threequarter years

(don't choke - he was an allergic baby, but is not now!). Have to admit

I was pleased to have my front back though. I didn't wean him

actually. I had a stroke because of a viral infection in the trigeminal

nerve channel, and the time in hospital was a long enough break to make

more scathing of the procedure. (And no, I was not very

co-operative in hospital, refused their drugs and did it my way)

You will have received the Catholics and Moslems file. The interesting

thing about these sorts of articles is that even though they are based

on factual medical information, doctors and people in high places get

very upset by them. They say things like " What would she know? " " What

med-school did she go to? " or " lay people always misinterpret things,

and the information is misinformation. " Bollocks. There is nothing to

misinterpret in these types of articles. Its as plain as the print on

the page. So, do be prepared, no matter how impressed you are with your

doctor, for an allergic reaction to such articles. Prescribe

antihistamine for her, if she reacts this way.

Don't forget home schooling as an option. Do you really want your child

in surroundings where the topics are so often determined by the

" sponsors " , and the prevailing ideology. At least, if nothing else,

teach your children to read by the phonics method - yourself. And make

sure you explain to them all along the way, why you are bringing them up

that way, and have the proof available for them to read when they get to

the teenager stage, because in this country (maybe yours) once they get

to 12 years, the " consent " forms are written TO THE CHILD not to the

parent.

Hi everyone,

My name is Katy and my dh is . We have a 3 month old son Oliver, and we

have decided not to vaccinate. Right now, I am still researching vaccinations,

but i don't think our son will recieve any of his shots. If anyone has any good

web sites they have found to be informative, olease send them to me. We decided

not to vaccinate based on some info that I stumbled on one day while web

surfing. We didn't have a bad experiance with any of the shots, we just decided

that until we have completed our research, he can always get the shots a little

late, but once he has them, we can not undo any damage they cause. Thank you

for reading all of this, and I am looking forward to hearing about everyone and

learning from you and your experiances.

Thank You

HI

This was me almost 8 years ago when oldest ds, Tyler, was born. At 2

months I allowed him to be fully vaccinated, not knowing the effects, then

when he was 3 months was when I became acquainted with our beloved Homeopath

who opened my eyes to the vaccines. At 4 months when I asked the

pediatrician for the Polio shot instead of the oral swallow, they looked at

me like I was nuts and said that infants are only given the live virus. If I

wanted the shot I had to go to another town where they give vaccinations for

world travelers. These people were the only ones who had the shot. They

also told me that if I got him the shot, I might as well give him NOTHING

because the shot was not as effective as the oral swallow kind!

And then, 5 or 6 years later, guess what??? Polio swallows are no longer

given to infants!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had had this list 8 years ago, it would

have been SO SO much easier to refuse the shots! This list and the info.

online has saved many lives and much pain and suffering, I am sure!

Welcome Traci!

First you do not have to keep the appt. if you are uncomfortable, remember

you are not held prisoner to your doctor and what they want to do to your

children.

I see a chiropractor for my family doctor and the medical doctor I have for

emergancies,or if my chiro refers me to him. The M.D. is great he sees alot

of Amish patients and understands our not vaccinating and respects us for

it. He knows I know what I am talking about. Do your research and have the

facts...it is your best defense to those who question you.

My son, 7 mos. now, has only seen the M.D. at 1 week old when we had him

circumcised with our paster there too, it was a beautiful ceremony like

atmoshpere.

I take him to the chiro every 3 weeks are so, more often if he doesn't seem

" right " . If the chiro saw somthing he would refer me out. He looks at the

same things and waches him grow on a regular basis and really knows him

better then M.D. does. Chiro's are trained the same, if not better then

M.D.'s on wellness issues and I trust mine more too.

There are exemptions call your health dept. and ask that it be sent to you.

You'll learn alot here....welcome

I was only uncomfortable telling her if there was a risk of legal problems;

but I have heard from someone else on this list, also from Missouri, that

assures me that what we're doing is legal in Missouri. We like our ped, and

wanted to be upfront and honest with her about our decision now - so in case

she had a problem with it, we would know if we need to look for another

doctor.

I have tons of things printed out and will be ordering some books on the

subject too. Our families are actually quite supportive of our " different "

beliefs! LOL They realize that we're the parents - not them - and they

respect our decisions. They also know that we research everything and only

do what we feel is best.

I'm so glad to have found this list!!!!

Hi Shelby!

Welcome!

I think the reason the ped never mentioned the egg thing is because most

don't even know about it being a " passive " ingredient (by contamination)

I've heard stories of parents asking their docs what's in the shots and

they never know. Ironically, I think the MMR that is the main one that

is grown on chick embryos, and thus the contamination.

Also, I would highly recommend seeing if you can find a naturopath,

homeopath or herbalist to see if they can help with your son's excema.

They can also help with a cleansing to remove some of the toxins he has

from the first shots he got, which may be contributing to the excema. A

good chiropractor is also essential, and they may be able to refer you

to one of the other docs. Please read page 8 of my homepage which gives

you help on what you can do with alternative health to keep a vaccine

free body strong. The address is http://pages.ivillage.com/ps/carrielea

OH, and the first book I read, and felt validated by since he was a REAL

pediatrician (and an " old timer " at that!) was " How To Have A Healthy

Child - In Spite of your Doctor " by Dr. Mendelsohn. He also has a

book specifically on vaccines, which I haven't read but is probably

excellent.

If you'd like to learn more about alternative health, I publish a free

email newsletter once a month or so and cover all kinds of topics. (When

I get a chance, my next one will be on allergies and asthma) If you'd

like to receive it, just let me know at austinsmom@...

Hope you get lots of info from here!

Hi Alix!

Until you can get to the homeopath, I would suggest a liver cleansing

for them with the milk thistle herb. It's a very safe herb and I tell

more about how important liver cleansing's are on my newsletter at

http;//www.geocities.com/hotsprings/sauna/6870/page4.html

I'm not sure about dosage. Maybe someone with a " smart medicine " book

can look it up? I would think as teenagers, though, they'd be close to

the adult dosage. Maybe cut it back by 1 or 2 caps a day. I'd do it for

a whole month and see if you notice a difference in their overall

health.

(Dandelion herb, which is what I take while nursing and is also a liver

cleanser, is the only thing I've found besides antibiotics to clear up

the cystic acne I (still - at 32 years old) get. Since it's cystic, I

know it's internal and has nothing to do with oily skin or all that, and

it must be that there are certain toxins that are accumulating in my

liver (which is the " oil filter " of the body)

Hope this helps a little! You might see if there's an herbalist near you

because they, too, can detox the body very well. Herbs can work on the

first, physical layer of detoxing, and homeopathics can work on the

deeper, energy levels of detoxing.

Welcome to the group!

From what I know about it, you are on the right track. Cut down, way down on

carbohydrates and sugar. Parasites love to feed on that stuff and they will

throw

your body out of whack because of the nutrients they rob you of. It almost gets

to the point where you are unconsciously feeding them and only them. That's

probably why all the bread.

You should look into parasite cleansing program( don't feel bad, at least 85%

of the people

have them to some degree).

Also their is a virus that is responsible for at least 15% of the obesity in

people.

An addition of a little GOOD grade of colloidal silver would help that over

time.

A few good herbs to remember is garlic, goldenseal and oregano.

Another important thing is to add some friendly bacteria to your system.

This is getting too long. You got plenty of time to learn.

Thanks for the advice. I have never heard of a parasite cleansing program.

I will research it. I know I still have a lot to learn!

Hi to Patty and everyone else--

I'm a newbie too. Actually, I'm also a lurker; I've been reading a few of

the postings lately without ever popping in officially to say hi.

Patty, I'm overweight also. Nothing major, but I want to lose weight and,

more important, be more energetic and simply feel healthier. I'm also type

O. I actually love protein--give me a broiled hamburger with melted

mozzeralla cheese on it--yum! But I also love bread, with a particular

weakness for sourdough. I'm also about to give the ER4YT method a go.

Basically, I just wanted to say " Good luck " and hang in there. I'll do the

same.

Debbie,

I can relate. My only advice would be to exercise, and drink tons of water!

I have been on the erfyt o diet for four months. I eat nothing but the

beneficial foods, and feel absolutely wonderful, but I have not lost any

weight at all. I am 5'8' and have put on thirty pounds in the past five

years so I am up to 170 lbs. I can't seem to loose it no matter what. I am

sedentary as I sit in an office all day and at night take care of my six

children, so I have very little time for me to exercise like I would like

to. What could I be doing wrong?

Thank you,

Debbie

If you can find time for the exercise you will be glad you did. In my

opinion a long slow run or walk is better for you than sleep. It's

really hard in the beginning but if you build up gradually and start to

have some long sessions you will begin to feel like the kid you once

were. Most people excercise too hard (for their condition) and soon

quit. If you go gently you will love the results. A rule of thumb is if

you don't feel like excercising you probably have been going too fast.

Take a day or two off and start again. Better yet get a good heart rate

monitor and stay in " THE ZONE " . 180 -(minus) your age - 5 is a good

maximum to start with. If you run too fast you lose most of the

aerobic benefits. If you run too slow you still get most of the aerobic

benefits. So go slow enough that people on the street laugh at you.

Then you will probably be in " THE ZONE " .

The key to weight loss seems to be ketosis which means cutting on the

carbs.

How right you are!. And that means pasta too. Even Slim Fast has too many

carbs in proprotion to whats needed. If you all don't believe it, just keep

on

feeding your parasite friends.

Hi - I agree - exercise is vital. Since I have back/structural problems

along with the FMS I have started doing water walking and it is wonderful.

However - I am concerned about the chlorine in the pool. Does anyone have

any input on how that can affect people? I'm not drinking it, but I know

its still not good. Wish we were rich enough for an indoor pool with sea

salt. I had a friend in VA who had an outside one she used it in. (Here in

AK an outdoor pool wouldn't be very practical). I go to public pools and

worry about other peoples germs too. Jeanie

Hi ,

I just saw your note from July.

I am a school nurse and helped about a hundred families do exemptions this

fall. It is NOT a law in Missouri that children be immunized. The law is

they must be immunized OR exempted. If you are willing to sign a statement

that says it is against your belief to immunize, you can do this. I was

wondering where you live. We are starting a coalition in Missouri to

reinstate the personal exemption in addition to the religious one we already

have.
