Side effects occur only with supraphysiologic doses of

glucocorticoids and not with proper replacement, which is equivalent

to 12 to 15 mg of hydrocortisone/ m2 body surface area per day.

calulate that by taking height (in inches) multiplied by weight.

Divide that by 3131.

take the square root of that number and then mutiply by 12-15.
