I've been wanting to share this for a while, and seeing everyone jump ship

just reminded me. A little background, I first experienced gall bladder

problems at the end of my first pregnancy in 2001. 19 months later, I had my

second baby with no gall bladder problems. It was not until the beginning of

last year, after eating Pizza Hut Pan Pizza that I started having problems.

I went to the dr., had tests, they found no stones, and I went about my way.

I ate tons of veggies and fruits, olive oil, salads, etc. I avoided all

dairy, eggs, meat, and bread. My problem went away and then I added foods

back. One morning in July, I ate homemade pancakes with raw milk. I started

feeling bad. It got worse. It got unbearable. My husband took me to the ER

and they gave me something for the pain. Later in the car, the vomiting

began. It was horrible.

I could not figure out if it was the pancakes or the milk. I was perplexed.

It didn't make sense. But this past November, I finally pieced it together.

I received some information on food combining. I checked the archives of

this group, and I believe food combining was mentioned a couple of years

back. But it is something you all definitely need to pay attention to. Since

I have been properly combining my foods, I have felt SO much better.

If you don't know what food combining is, here is an example. A BIG no-no is

eating a meat with a starch. So these foods are out: hamburger/bun,

spaghetti w/ meat sauce, hotdog/bun, chicken and rice, fish and chips, pizza

w/ meat, meat and potatoes. all of America's favorite foods! It's no wonder

we're all in trouble! So in my case, the pancake and milk was a poor

combination. If I drink water with the pancakes, I am fine. Another one of

America's favorite foods- cookies and milk- is horrible on your digestive

system!

You can learn a bit more at www.digestive-system-help.com .

I truly believe that it's not just about the foods we eat, but it's about

the way we are combining them that leads to attacks. Think about your diet

and try changing some things. Some of you who have cut out meat completely

may be able to eat it if you eat it with veggies (not corn!) And some of you

getting ready to get your gall bladder out may avoid surgery. Who knows?

It's definitely worth looking into.

Also (Iknow, this is getting long) if you have not tried the things at

www.gallbladderattack.com make sure you check it out before surgery!

Have a healthy day!

Thanks for your comments.

1) Overeating and Binge eating being mental problems is no surprise to

anyone on this group. I just hope they don't go overboard and start churning

out drugs to " treat " it - as is often the case with the psychiatric

community.

2) Please keep sharing your observations. We sometimes get so caught up in

our own worlds that we dont see the obvious answer. Thansk for that.

3) I am going to start using the hunger diary as well. Getting stuck on

foods through food journals or with Weight Watchers did nothing more than

make me hungry all the time. I think focusing on how I feel and not on the

foods I eat will help.

Thanks again.
