Guest guest
Hi all, I 'd like to hear from anyone with floaters. I had a torn retina 10 years ago and have been plagued with floaters in one eye ever since. I'll be watching to see if iodine makes a difference. Thanks Lynn for the information. Flechas had not heard of that before but did know an optomologist who said he thinks the iodine works on the eye cells and reduces pressure in the eye. It's possible that the floaters are results of eye debris clearing out. (I can't recall the rest but my general remembrance was that he thinks iodine will be shown to normalize glaucoma and other eye problems.) Guest guest
Hi Ann, I had Open eye surgery for a severely torn retina in Jan 76. Have intermittently had some floaters, but nothing serious. I basically only have one eye, and of course that is the one I hurt. Following the surgery I regained 20/20 vision in that eye and only when I was almost fifty I found that my arms were getting a little to short for reading. Now at 67, I still only use 1.25 reading glasses for fine print, poor light and for computer work.(36-48 inches to monitor) Take some supplements, About 8 years ago focusing was deteriorating a bit and floaters appeared to increase in size and numbers. Read a very good book about natural treatments for all eye problems. Was slowly starting to improve when I was introduced to Tahitian Noni juice. Took 4 oz per day for about 6 months along with the floater protocol and had significant improvement in both floaters and focusing. Has stayed about the same ever since. I use a bit of Noni and Mangosteen juice intermittently now and am using coconut oil quite regularly. Guest guest
I don't have floaters, but I was having a burning pain in my eyes, as if I'd left my contacts in too long. After a month of taking iodine, it went away. My MIL has floaters. I'm going to see if she'll start iodine. If so, I'll let you know if hers improve. > > Hi all, I 'd like to hear from anyone with floaters. I had a torn > retina 10 years ago and have been plagued with floaters in one eye > ever since. Guest guest
HI Doug, Interesting. Do you remember the book you read on natural treatments for eye problems? I take lots of supps already but maybe not the right ones. Where did you find the floater protocol? Thanks, AnnOn 30-Nov-06, at 2:29 PM, Murray wrote:Hi Ann,I had Open eye surgery for a severely torn retina in Jan 76. Have intermittently had some floaters, but nothing serious.
